Mega Thread 2018 Trade Period Discussion part 2! (cont. in Part 3 - link in OP)

I feel like we could potentially be trading Kelly to Collingwood to try and get their 2019 3rd rounder to then give us the option of trading our 2019 1st this year. Otherwise I don't know what Collingwood have because I would be pretty annoyed if we traded a player like Kelly for a pick we wouldn't use.

It makes sense but I just cant see Kelly being worth it for them.

In other news, it seems like Jesse Hogan wanted an 8 year deal......... surely not.

When my son was about 16 I binge watched the Godfather trilogy with him. It was sort of a rite of passage.

Chad was a great player a few years ago. Really, really good player. Does he still have the motivation to push himself to be the best player he can be. To win premierships. Or will he be happy to just continue to coast on his talent.

We just got rid of Gov for apparently similar reasons to why Wingard is being shown the door. After what happened with Menzel I can see this potentially ending the same way.

If anybody can get through to him, Clarkson is probably that person.

I know that Collingwood have a fair few medium defenders but ones like Scharenberg, Dunn, Goldsack and I think some others I have forgotten are either injured or coming back from injuries and with Collingwood pushing for a flag they will want to have good depth in that area.

I don’t mind the thinking. But if the pies finish say 15th that’s Pick 51 at best without FA picks. He’s worth more than that (at least a pick 45 or better).

I can't see it happening. They have two fs/academy bids to match in the top 30. I think Beams is much more likely to happen than Kelly, which would take their trade currency needed to take those two kids. Seems to me that Jake Kelly would be a long way down the list of their priorities. I call bullshit.

But more likely they finish say 6-8 at worst, which makes it about 48. Or higher, so yes, 51.

No. They finish 15th it’s 15 + 18 + 18 = 51. FA more like 56.

They finish 15th, the counting starts from pick 4. I assume you're talking about pick 15, not ladder position, hence the misunderstanding.

(I did think projecting the Pies to finish 15th was a bit odd!)
