To me it was telling that hes gone to Hawthorn. He wont be the big name and can play 2nd or 3rd fiddle in a talented forwardline.

Not really. The fact that he chose Hawthorn over the Bulldogs is a positive sign. I just can't get my head around a 25 year old seemingly losing motivation after being twice AA. You would expect him to be the first one out to training and the last one in.

I did mean that in a roundabout way. Hes gone to the side more capable of winning a flag.

I'm a bit surprised there wasnt more interest from the big teams.

Tom Mcdonald is their best forward. Jake Lever will miss a large chunk of next year and is coming off his second knee reco. Harrison Petty is untried. Pruess is a ruckman.

That leaves Oscar McDonald and Sam Frost as their key defenders. Sam May would make them much better and fix up their only real weakness.

Except Lever was meant to fix that very same weakness

I'll be glad to see him go. Got a bad feeling he's the next Mackay. Vanilla player that gets picked every week taking up a spot on the ground that should be reserved for some of our best players..

For example, would you trade 4 for 8 + 13?
4 + 28 for 8 +13 + 16?

Let’s look at this more carefully

4 : 8 + 13

Pick 13 straight up for 4 extra spots in the draft. That’s a pretty incredible price to pay.

And on top of that you want to upgrade pick 28 into the first round?

You really think that’s realistic?

He's looked OK .....but Broomhead simply has not had a sustained run at playing .....just always injured, currently a broken leg in R2
