Lee Gaskin just reported that the Pick 68 has gone from North to the Suns to us and will now end up at Richmond as the swap for Stengle. It will be made official later today for some reason.

Maybe we dont want to make multiple trips to AFL house, so we will lodge the stengle deal with another huge deal.

#68 & #73 makes no sense, given that #73 alone should have been more than enough. Arguing that "those picks would not have been used" is rather silly in this case, given that we specifically traded for #68.

Assuming we continue with the 38/6 list structure, the addition of Stengle & McAdam leaves us with 2 vacancies on the senior list. Signorello & Cheney remain uncontracted.

McAdam probably counts towards our mandatory 3 draft selections, so we're looking at 2-4 "live" selections in the ND.

The final decisions regarding Signorello & Cheney will be made once we know which draft picks we will be taking to the draft. Yes, I'm aware that draft picks can be traded up to and including the draft days.

Nah, in the grand scheme of things it doesn't honestly matter. My point being is why are we having to go around and muster up picks for a rookie who's played 2 games, given the other trades that have unfolded so far this period.

It's pointless arguing, but in comparison is what you could call massive "overs" if 68 and 73 are in fact the deal, for what we are getting.

Because he’s sought after. Plenty of quality players are born from rookie lists.

Because he’s sought after. Plenty of quality players are born from rookie lists.

He's requested a trade back to us, after his rookie contract is up and we could technically get him as a DFA in the draft. Didnt use 72, so there's probably something else in the works at this stage. It's just an odd process for such a nothing trade, that's all.
