Assuming we continue with the 38/6 list structure, the addition of Stengle & McAdam leaves us with 2 vacancies on the senior list. Signorello & Cheney remain uncontracted.

McAdam probably counts towards our mandatory 3 draft selections, so we're looking at 2-4 "live" selections in the ND.

The final decisions regarding Signorello & Cheney will be made once we know which draft picks we will be taking to the draft. Yes, I'm aware that draft picks can be traded up to and including the draft days.

He's requested a trade back to us, after his rookie contract is up and we could technically get him as a DFA in the draft. Didnt use 72, so there's probably something else in the works at this stage. It's just an odd process for such a nothing trade, that's all.

We can't get him as a DFA as Richmond had put a contract to him earlier in the year. He didn't sign it, hence he can't be classified as a DFA.

If we are working on a pick upgrade I'm not expecting it until later, or even on draft night. Its probably encouraged by the AFL to add some theatre to what is going to be a needlessly drawn out draft process.

I reakon we will still move up before the end of trade period.

it is when we already had 73 that would have gotten the deal done. That way we. Still would have our fourth rounder next year.
Not a big deal but feel like we torched a pick for nothing.
At least for now unless the 68 swap is part of something bigger.

I wouldn't be surprised if all trades were pre arranged and it's all just for show on draft night

What they should have done was not set the first night for first round selections only as most of the early picks could have been sorted out well before draft night.

Reckon trading for picks in the 2nd round onwards could be much more busier and they should have just set a time to finish the first night and just let teams go at it.
