Is there some other forum you can take your distasteful language to? Yeah, I know, I'm a pussy... blah, blah, blah....
Why are you arcing up?
I’m a follower of your content.
I was chastised so I bit back.

Pass so far. Got well overs for Lever and Cameron, paid overs for Gibbs although not huge overs.

Got decent value for Gov, around what he was worth, and added to our small forward depth. McAdam will play 15 or so games next year IMO. Stengle who knows.

Hes doing ok, not brilliant but not as ordinary as some of you would have us believe.
Kind of agree but am not sure of a phis ability to sit at a table and flush things. I’m completely sure he does an exhaustive process and I’d think he’d be under the pump.
His old man did what? Then quit
I don’t think we are good at the negotiating table because of this.

JR is a former player manager, he has the negotiating ability.

The current Brownlow medallist was pick 21.

Kelly's 2019 contract would be the same, whether he's at Geelong or West Coast. You've agreed about the CBA after all.

All Kelly has lost is the guarantee of the Eagles wage for 2020+.
He could still get that next year.
Out of interest this is the last 10 years of Brownlow Medallists, the runners up, and their draft picks:

2018 - Mitchell (pick 21), Sidebottom (11)
2017 - Martin (3), Dangerfield (10)
2016 - Dangerfield (10), Parker (40)
2015 - Fyfe (20), Priddis (Rookie)
2014 - Priddis (rookie), Fyfe (20)
2013 - Ablett (40), Selwood (7)
2012 - Watson (40), Mitchell (36), Cotchin (2)
2011 - Swan (58), Mitchell (36)
2010 - Judd (3), Ablett (40)
2009 - Ablett (40), Judd (3)

And his years clubs best and fairest winners and their draft picks:

Laird (Rookie)
Zorko (23 year old zone selection)
Cripps (pick 13)
Sidebottom (11), Grundy (18)
Smith (14)
Neale (58)
Blicavs (Rookie)
Harbrow (Rookie)
Whitfield (1)
Mitchell (21)
Gawn (34)
Higgins (11)
Westhoff (71)
Riewoldt (13)
Steven (42)
Lloyd (Rookie)
Yeo (30)

What does this tell us? Well pick 40 and rookie picks seems good. Other than that, I don't really know, people can draw their own conclusions... just thought it would be interesting is all...

Red mist, I apologise if my earlier comment offended you, it was never intended to do so and was made entirely out of playfulness. I have no problem with you being the way you are, however it is true that I often find it difficult to interpret the meaning of your posts.

I’m encouraged by your openings.

Why would it necessarily be the same? There’s plenty of players that switch clubs that wouldn’t be on the same (both more and less) as what they would have been if they stayed.

**** didn’t we give up pick 40 this year in the McAdam deal?

I wouldn't get too concerned. Both of those pick #40 winners were F/S selections, back in the days when all it cost was a 3rd round pick. We don't have any F/S selections this year.

Re your brownlow medalist list: ablett, Mitchell and Watson were all F/S picks so their draft # is not indicative of where they were rated that year (or how they’d be picked if selected under the current f/s model).

Because it's his 2nd year mandated draftee contract.

Same as what happened with Boyd. His first year at the Dogs was his 2nd year draftee deal.

Yeah. I know. But that’s where they were picked so I went with it. If I recall, Ablett certainly wasn’t rated top ten or even top twenty... not sure about Watson.
