****ing Stevie Wonder again...

I can't believe how we managed to get rolled by Ali every time in England when everyone else makes him look bog ordinary.
Its at Lords with no Anderson.

Will be a basic pitch

I don't think England can win against Australia on any type of pitch except green and slightly damp wickets that offer seam movement. Australia have a much better spinner for dry wickets like this one here, they have quicker pacers that can extract more out of docile flat wickets unless England play Archer and Stone, but both of whom are unproven at this stage. Any quick wicket with pace and bounce and Australia will feel at home.

Woakes though has a god like record at the Lords and Curran is very dangerous in conditions that offer swing, has a very good inswinger. And there is Broad who wobbles the seam very well. I think the only wicket where they have an upper hand bowling wise is on green wickets (their batting is equally bad on most wickets) because they have the bowlers with the best seam presentation skills in the world. They badly need Anderson back though, otherwise it would balance out the attacks more and Australia might still win there. The problem with England though is that any other surface which doesn't offer much movement off the pitch or in the air and their bowlers look ineffective (unless Archer boosts their attack).
