If I’m being completely honest Lisa Sthalekar is awkward, basic and real tough to listen to. Not that Woodbridge and Healy are any better, Channel 9 needs to take a serious look at these three going forward.

She's diverse though so if they get rid of her they'll be accused of being racist AND sexist.

So she'll get another contract.

Her and Healy was a real low-light of the ashes after some of the great english commentators

One of our finest, most memorable, most glorious defeats.

We have Our England back. That World Cup win from the jaws of defeat was clearly an aberration. Losing a match after having a team 122-8 on Day 1, that really takes some doing. Especially when the opposition somehow managed to leave out one of their best bowlers.

See that thing over there? It's a drawing board. Go back to it.

The whole thing is awkward. Why do they need that panel, when all they talk is during the tea and lunch break with wickets in between. Really unnecessary. Feels forced.

Looks like an amazing win going off FOWs but from fairly early on this was a golden opportunity for Australia to go 1-0 up. Yesterday's effort by Stokes aside, none of England's bowlers were up for the challenge when the ball and pitch settled down. Familiar story. Comparatively our quicks+Lyon toiled like I hoped, even without much luck on day 2 they managed to keep things tight and not give the game away.

Standout moment today for me was Roy, he could've batted with a sandwich board and still would've missed that Lyno offie. Under-reported: I reckon Umpire Joel actually gave Bairstow out lbw (hence his slow reaction, processing the various possible appeals), no way he of all people saw it just clip the wristband. As for last night's declaration, waiting as long as Paine did predictably only made it easier for us to bowl them out. Patience pays off!

As usual, England’s supposed super stars failed to turn up, 11 slightly above average players, sorry, 10, + Ali, couldn’t match an average side with 2 or 3 true world class players. Unless they find a way to unlock Smith we have no hope

Healy shouting out "GOAT" at the end of a conversation after a wicket was one of the stranger things I've heard too. Just out of nowhere, and whilst true, was something a simpleton would do. Slurred and weird

Anyway great win, I had to hop on a plane just after lunch when they were 3-down. Had a cheeky glance at the phone when the plane was still grounded and it had jumped to 5 down. Not surprised to land and see we walked in it from there.

The planets are aligning for our first Ashes retention (or win) over there since 2001. Win at Lords and it’s going to be very hard for England to get back from there. Still work to be done though. Warner has been like a cat on a hot tin roof and Bancroft’s technique isn’t up to scratch. Khawaja is still a tease. Lord Steven can’t score a century every single time (well he probably can in this form) so the top 3 will need to pull their weight next time round. Loving the consistency of Head, Wade looked delicious at 6 and bowling depth is least of our concerns.

Smith’s last 6 Ashes tests have yielded an average of 157.2.

Basically if they don’t get him out before he’s set in both innings their chances of winning drop dramatically.

The English supporters must hate the sight of him and I mean, really hate the sight of him. I know how I felt during Cook's run over here in 2010/11 and Smith is well ahead of that.

Even Ian Bell in 2013 was doing my head in.

They are off to a flier the Poms
- get thumped in a test they had the opposition 8/120 in the first innings in
- captain questions Smith record in England ,Smith makes back to back tons
- Roy spits towards Aussie crowd
- don’t shake hands at start of play
- pick Anderson who lasts 4 overs

Think they may haves got a little ahead themselves before this series .....
