I wouldn't say no to a player like Parish but feel we need to be targeting rucks & defenders still. Sinclair was the right call because without him we'd be screwed, English would be the type of player I'd prefer we chase.

Our midfield is the main problem not the other areas. We need skilled mids not honest toilers

We need a true number one ruckman. I love Sinclair for all that he is but he isn't a top-shelf number one ruck despite his numbers. I'd be looking at Archie Smith and Oscar McInerney from Brisbane, and Ivan Soldo from Richmond. I'd be happy to offer one of them a Mumford deal and tell them the number on ruck spot is yours if you stay fit.

Agree 100%. We have the greatest ruckman of the modern era in our coaching ranks, yet we’re content with a bloke who has zero ruck intelligence when it comes to tap work. Don’t get me wrong I respect the hell out of Sinclair but he’s not much good.

We have skilled midfielders. 2 players drafted who were the best midfielders of their draft (Heeney & Mills), we've got kids with speed and good foot skills (Florent & Jones), we've got dual AAs (Parker & Kennedy) and I haven't touched on the "toilers". Our midfield has all the elements of what should be a top midfield group

We offer more $ than GWS can pay, GWS cant match, then we offer first 2 rounds of picks, GWS refuse and get compo pick. If GWS refuse Coniglio states he refuses to play for any other club and we draft him.

The Giants cleared over $2.5m from their cap this year to ensure Coniglio, Kelly and Hopper would be retained. If any of the three move it won't be for more money.

Florent is a beautiful kick, granted Jones can spray it at time but he's not a bad kick. Cunningham is a beautiful kick and severely underrated but his contested possession can be left wanting at times

I think he's getting better with this. When he gets the ball through the middle, he's really good at finding open men down the ground. I agree for someone of his speed he still doesn't back himself quite as much as I'd like, but he's improving imo.

Yep Tadgh aside we've had a pretty poor record recruiting from Ireland (jury still out on COR)

Other teams seem to get their Irish guys in and playing relatively quickly
