Bulldogs hold picks 12 & 30. Pick 30 seems about right for Bruce but that's unders for Jones. Unless there's a player who wants to come over I'd expect it to be something like 30 & 2020 second round pick
Bit ambitious.
I think we’ll get pick 30 if that’s what they get for Bruce.

To be honest. I’m probably a bit past it. Pick 30 is flattering. But I’m probably only really worth a pick in the 50-60 range.

I wish I had your confidence in our club. However, based on history, we generally do get bent over big time when we aren't in a strong bargaining position. We constantly cave in.
Once we see that Daniher won't get done early, I strongly believe we'll move on to something else, perhaps shelve the idea of trading Paps & tackle some other trade options & get them done early but there will be no way we will be tied down for two weeks or whatever by Dodoro until the last minute of trading.
I have no doubt that we have told Joe that very scenario. If you want to come to us then it is more than likely next year as a FA & if there is a chance you can come to us in a reasonable trade now, we'll do our best to get you here but NO PROMISES JOE!

If we all agree that Wines is a first round pick 8-15, then Jones is worth around pick 28-36, a second rounder. Unfortunately that's how it goes.
If I was bringing Papley into our club from elsewhere, I wouldn't pay more than pic 19-26 for him. If true that the Blues are prepared to give us 8 (won't happen with Silvagni), then we should take it every day of the week because we have a good depth of small forwards on our list, & pick 8 gets us Wines.

This is why I think we will move on from the Daniher deal if there is any hint of stalling, in order to get a tough ball winning bull that can go with the Cripps & Martins of this world. That's Wines & Crouch.

It’s the medical treatment of the last 2 years that has him not happy along with just wanting to play footy and not in the spot light

So we have another Kawhi Leonard. Not happy with Spurs Medical treatment leaves goes to Toronto out of spotlight wins Championship.

Joe not happy with Medical Treatment comes to Sydney plays footy out of spotlight wins Premiership. Simple Maths Punts. Beauty. :D

It's our idea to trade Papley?

One from left field. Any chance Ronke comes into the conversation for Daniher? I believe he's from that area and didn't Essendon have the first opportunity to draft him?

Would leave us a little short on small forwards if we lost both Ronke and Papley, so I wouldn’t have thought so.

Papley’s a tough cover but I’m comfortable with Wicks and Hirst for Ronke. Wasn’t thrilled with his season one bit.

I think both Wicks and Hirst have the potential to be good small forwards. It’d be a bit of a risk to assume they will however.

Ronke got better as the season went on but agreed he has to improve. Before the Papley talk I even suggested moving him on late in the season.

With you Masey, theyre not getting rid of Ronke, they like him a lot. Didn’t have a great year but came good in the end. Good signs.

I don't agree with this theory that we need points for Gulden and Campbell. At this stage neither should be top 10. They are currently inline to be picks in the range of 10-30. Take into account the discount and our first and second round picks cover this easily.

The only flaw in this theory is that the Swans won’t want to use their 1st (likely to be 4-10) on late 1st / 2nd rounders.

The ideal scenario is to hold a high pick plus a bunch of solid points picks.

The flaw is holding out for a certain player. You take the best available and if there’s someone better suited to a role, you take them!

It’s not a flaw if the academy kids are good & we can snare them at unders.
Get a quality first rounder then match bids for the academy kids using points. Seems like a very sound strategy.

Strong draft next year apparently and almost guaranteed that these two won’t be anywhere near the top. Bidding on 2nd rounders is dumb so why use points if you don’t have to?

Would it be right to draft:

SERONG - 179cm
GULDEN - 172cm
CAMPBELL - 178cm

With your 2019 1st pick and maybe our 1st and 2nd pick 2020.

I know both could be 2 rounders next year etc and we may switch our picks if not picked early.

With Serong being a swans supporter helps but would it be better with KEMP - 193cm Mid/Def or McASEY - 196cm Def/ Fwd.

I can wait a year for KEMP.

""I think where I can reach the best potential of my footy is probably through the midfield. At the start of this year it was a big focus to challenge myself in that area and mould myself into what the game's allowing those bigger-bodied midfielders [to do]," he said".

Dalrymple had a history of selecting multiple small players at the Dogs

Haha, the Swans poaching? Lockett was not poached! He was out and almost a certainty to Collingwood albeit for Alan McAllister knocking him back at a committee meeting.

Yeah or tigers but they wouldn’t trade Stewie
