Shit, I'm happy to delete the account.

But I didn't lie multiple times about having sources. I just was stunned by how early a club would draft a midget who doesn't seem to get a kick.
Nah don’t, would be boring if everyone had the same opinions.

It's funny though. We all think there's talent left that should have gone earlier but the actual gurus picked other players instead. Maybe that says something
I think it was Hamish but he said something like after 15 opinions were varied, so who one club rates as 20 someone else would rate later.

We are still only at the start of 20, there will be talent there

I’m no guru but there seems to be some real talent left, would love to trade in another pick or 2 in the 20s
You want safe/predictable then it's Deven Robertson, Will Gould or Harry Schoenberg..... who you know very well what your getting but questionable upside IMO.

You want big upside and players that could well be better than their draft position it's Rantall, Sharp, Worrell and even a guy like Flynn Perez who would be considered a "stretch like a couple last night with injuries playing a part in that.

Perez played the running defender role for the Bendigo Pioneers last year as under ager but with his speed and big body looked a dead cert to move into the midfield in 2019, however in December last year at the Vic Country summer camp he did his ACL and missed the whole season. Prior to his ACL he was considered very much a 1st round prospect and like Cooper Dtephens and Mitch Georgiades he's rehabbed well by all reports and is pretty much set to be able to do a full pre-season.

Trent Bianco if it's purely based on talent and skill as at today he has to be right in the mix but I really have some serious doubts about him settling in to Adelaide away from his family.

What’s the go here, has he been open about that or is it just a general consensus thing?

Thoughts on Jones?

Gee I’m glad we have this 24hr break to get ready for rd 2.
Whoever’s idea this was should lose their job immediately.
Next year there's no need to split it. Everyone's getting the hang of live pick trades and most moves are done pre the night. SHould be a bit of a break next year and away it goes until the end, or 3rd round is finished at least. The scraps of 4th and 5th rounds can go next day.

I think them mostly do it for TV tho, so who knows.

Thoughts on Jones?
I'm on the fence a bit with Jones, very light bodied at this point and would be several years development I feel before he'd be capable of holding down a key position , certainly very athletic and good overhead but low production at this point. Possibly plays the high half forward/3rd tall at AFL more so than KPF with his good speed and athleticism for a big lanky type.

I'd be OK with it if we drafted him but he will take time I'd be pretty certain.....I was also told a while back by one of the AFL Draft Central scouts Ed Pascoe we've shown some interest in another Calder Cannons tall Jeremy O'Sullivan so he might be a chance late/rookie to us. We do seem to have an affinity with the Calder Cannons as draftees so both might be on our radar.

Twomey has us taking Rantall and Schoenberg from here, which would both be solid picks it seems. Was told we liked Schoenberg, but we'd certainly have some tough choices if Gould or Robertson were still available too.

At the very least we've got 4 players with 4 selections coming up with 2 of them belonging to us, so we should get some players we like. Port supposedly like Worell, which is fine for us since we probably want mids from here.
Think we can get Shoenberg with 37

Think we need someone a bit more outside leaning or X factor

Sharp or Taylor for me with Rantall

No stress if we take Gould either

Would you go Rantall or Robertson if we had the choice, Jeff?

Rantall probably with the unknown, higher ceiling but Robertson with the much greater production at this point. It’s a tough one, I’d go Robertson just I reckon

Still unsure on Sharp, I like my outside players to have really consistent footskills if I’m taking them relatively high. Taylor I’d love though

Hoping that crows trade pick 39 with something else to get another pick in the late 20's.

It would be excellent to have 3 picks in the 20's and land 3 of (in order of my preference);

1 Jeremy Sharp
2 Harry Schoenberg
3 Trent Bianco
4 Harrison Jones
5 Josh Worrell (think Port Take him)
6 Will Gould
7 Devon Robertson (I think someone trades up for him)
8 Elijah Taylor
9 Hugo Ralphsmith
10 Mitch O'neill

Maybe one of them slides to pick 39.. But that would be a big MAYBE, Cam Taheny maybe a chance too.

I’d go the safe bet Robertson and the factor Taylor and hope having Robbo there helps Taylor

Robertson is a gift that’s too good to let go

Much greater production?

Steady up, I might be biased but Rantall is definitely a heavy production guy if I've ever seen one, the guy's a ball magnet.

As much of a ball magnet as Rantall is (it’s no knock on him by the way), Robertson’s probably one of the best in the draft class at that right now, 30 disposals per game and 3rd(?) highest in ranking points in the Champs says as much

It’s a tough choice between the two if we were given that opportunity for sure

22. THOMSON DOW - TIGERS (21)
182cm, 72kg, Vic Country/Bendigo Pioneers, midfielder
Buckenara says: The younger brother of Carlton’s Paddy, Dow has taken the eye of recruiters this year. He’s different to his brother in that he plays a little bit taller and occasionally drifts forward to offer a target. Dow is lightly framed but agile and has a nice burst of speed, so he looks a good prospect who brings some nice attributes to the table. It will take some time and patience from the club that picks him to build up his light body.
Plays like: David Mackay
Stats: Disposals 12.3, contested possessions 4.8, clearances 2.5, score involvements 1.5, tackles 1.8, pressure acts 10.8, ranking points 48

The trade guru Buckenara reckons he plays like David Mackay! 12.3 disposals sounds about right
Bloody Richmond, got a steal at 21

I'd expect Rantall would have got similar numbers if he had similar minutes in the midfield too but he was playing 3rd or 4th banana behind the likes of Sam Flanders and Caleb Serong. High production is absolutely not a problem for either lad. That was simply down to opportunities.
