AgreeHamish might think so, I liked Caldwell better than Jones last year but I’ll always trust Ogilvie’s judgement
Was it you that also had an eye on Stengle in his draft year ?

Hamish wanted to draft Tim English. Pyke wanted more speed in the side as he thought we were getting too slow, so we drafted Gallucci instead. I've heard Pyke say that, at a breakfast function. Somehow, they both managed to be right and ultimately wrong.Hamish said he watched a lot more school footy this year. I bet he saw a lot of McAsey there. If he chooses McAsey I’ll trust him for now.
He certainly won’t be a Gallucci pick. I don’t know what he was thinking there. I knew that was a fail from day one.
But have we ever selected a gun Vic Metro player who hasn’t walked out when clubs come calling?
I have this feeling that Stephens and Gould will both be available at our picks and we’ll overlook both.
Yep that was me, still very bullish about him and his prospects. Ton of natural talent, and already producing at a good level in the SANFL (even really liked his AFL games last year, should have played more I reckon). Sure, fitness might be a question, but as long as he has the work ethic to develop that side of his game it'll improve over time, and once it does, look outAgree

In your opinion, which we have established counts for.....He's not best available.

I'll take our recruiters opinions over yours.
Jesus, your obsession with the little brother down the road is borderline suspicious. For the second year Port has trumped us at the trade table to get more top 20 picks than us. That sucks as I know the bastards are going to get Gould.
Not too bloody often given the picks they've had to work with/.All that recent silverware in our cabinet, the AFC recruiters never get it wrong.

So when do we make a play for high enough picks to get one? Maybe we should be trying to secure a top 3 pick for next year. Sure as eggs we aren’t winning another flag until we get an elite midfield. Won’t matter how good our CHB is.The elite mids could be gone by pick 3, hence we just go the best available.
Haha he can be yours too mate, the Tyson Stengle fan clubYeah I thought it was
I liked him too and Mutineer at times corrects me that he was your lad first and not mine
I mean he took gallucci so big H isn't always right.Hamish might think so, I liked Caldwell better than Jones last year but I’ll always trust Ogilvie’s judgement
I only ever really liked Stengle as rookie in his draft year, still not convinced he's the answer unless he improves the pressure side of his game which is an absolute requirement for his role in the modern game. Now Eddie's not there he really must step up to the plate this season if he's ever going to be thought of as permanent best 22 player.Yeah I thought it was

anyone that wants hartigan in the side should be laughed at.I am Mick and I think you'd be surprised.
Keath is a KPD that intercepts.
Young is a medium running back that intercepts.
You've put the line through Gallucci already?I mean he took gallucci so big H isn't always right.
Poor guy probably won't even take McAsey, so probably just wait til we go off til Wednesday night
You've put the line through Gallucci already?
I agree he's been generally underwhelming but he does show flashes at times that make you think there's a decent player in there somewhere.
2020 is his chance to shine or he's in trouble IMO, much the same applies with Poholke.
Agreed on Gallucci, but he's really got to stamp himself this year. Think it's as a half-forward/wing or bust. I personally think he'll request a trade if he doesn't get a ton of game time, some club will take a chance on those flashes he's shownYou've put the line through Gallucci already?

I think we'd be going for McAsey because we know De Koning won't be there at our second pick.Fox Sports has us taking McAsey too
Seems like a given at this point unless a club like the Hawks, Power or Cats trade up
Very good skills, plenty to like but he is one player I'd have some reservations about with the "go home" factor. One that’s mentioned around our pick is Bianco - looks like he could be a good pick up
Thoughts Mutineer ?
