We have a few ourselves.I don’t do trade well, but there’s probably clubs out there who need those more than us for academy players next year who could give us a teen pick.
Anyone confirm this could be the case?
I don't believe the 6 + 3rd report (or at least I don't believe that was all of it).The melts.
10 & a 2020 2nd round pick is better than 6 & 2020 3rd rounder. If that ends up being the trade...
We could include our future 3rd in the deal to alleviate that problem. The saints have traded out their future 3rd rounder which means they can't trade their future 1st iirc
we have been absolute boned here

If what’s reported is true, will haunt this football club for another decade.
The media and fans will distill this trade period into the line ‘freo turned down pick six so for pick 10!’
Honestly, we would have accepted 6 and a future 3rd first day of trade week before the whole shitstorm happened and both clubs and fans would have seen it as a fair deal. The Saints originally wanted something back for 6.
And 10 and a future 2nd is probably slightly better than 6 and a third.

The fans are the ones who finance the industry. We were also the ones that apparently 'forced' the board's hand in acting on LyonNo they don't. The only people that matter are those in the industry. Not us, or the media
Not sure I'm that fazed about the difference between 6 and 10 in regards to potential recruits this year, although obviously 6 is better. I still think 10 ends up with a player we want; say Roberton, Jackson, Rivers or Sharp. We may have lost a shot at Stephens along the way.Working with the Draft Pick value index is as follows
Pick 6 (1751) and Future 3rd (316) = 2067 points
Pick 10 (1395) and Future 2nd (703)= 2098 points
Slight improvement on points value, but obvs the worse the Saints are the better the value will get.
Two or three 2020 2nd round picks will be able to do that.If we wanted a top 10 pick.
Why not do the deal like what Melbourne did with North.
Melbourne got pick 8 from North for a future first pick and picks 26, 50
Why can’t we get creative and do sh.it like this????
So so dumb.

Because Melbourne need to finish top 6 for that deal to work, something we won't doIf we wanted a top 10 pick.
