Not sure I'm that fazed about the difference between 6 and 10 in regards to potential recruits this year, although obviously 6 is better. I still think 10 ends up with a player we want; say Roberton, Jackson, Rivers or Sharp. We may have lost a shot at Stephens along the way.
If pick 6 was on the table long enough, we could have turned that into 10&18. I personally don’t think it was ever seriously offered because of who they had to bring in.
I still think a couple of next years second rounders will come into play.

I reckon the longer it goes, the better for us.
If we were agreeing to 10 + next year's second, surely it would have already happened now the puffer deal has happened.

I’m not convinced we were ever actually offered that pick 6.

They keep saying that talks broke down after just 2 ½ minutes. So I suspect we walked out because Saints told us they were going to split pick 6. The deal with GWS to split pick 6 took place shortly after talks “broke down”.

So I reckon the Saints were actually offering one of the split picks (e.g. 14) plus Acres or whatever. And we (rightly) told them to jam it.
