The Fremantle Dockers confirmed a further two changes to the club’s playing list on Wednesday, ahead of the AFL’s first list lodgement deadline tomorrow.
Forward Hugh Dixon and midfielder Tom North have been moved from the primary list and will be re-drafted and placed on the club’s rookie list in late November.
“Tom and Hugh are highly valued players at Fremantle who are contracted for the 2020 season and we’re committed to taking both of them in the upcoming rookie draft,” Bell said.
“Following the 2019 Trade Period, we have a strong draft hand and this move will give us even greater flexibility in the upcoming National Draft.
“We held two picks in the first four rounds heading into the Trade Period, compared to the five we currently hold, which includes two top-10 selections.”

I think Dixon being rookied after the last game last year was slightly surprising, but I guess they have 5 draft picks they think can be better than those two.. although we have 7 spots so one wonders whether we are looking at FAs

Hughes and Giro have to be upgraded. Their contract extensions said as much and no room left on the rookie list. Also with no room on the Cat-A rookie list and the club taking 5 selections in ND Carter will be retained as Cat-B for another year.

5 Primary list spots: 7,10,22,58,69
4 Rookie list spots: Watson, O’Reilly, 6 (Dixon), 24 (North)
Cat-B up to 3: Carter (retained), Butters, Thomas??

Has he done a phantom yet? I am only concerned if his phantom has Henry in the top 10.
He mentioned in an interview on afl.com that there have been some whispers that Sydney are into Henry

I am sure many clubs like him, its a totally different thing to actually rate him the 5th best player. That's why I only get worried when Henry starts appearing at 5 in Cal's phantom.

I think the Demons will take Serong at 3
That's the thing, if they go Henry at 3 (due to some bizarre crack at us, or genuinely rating him as the second coming of Rioli), we could actually consider Serong along with whoever else is available with our second pick. If we match, we lose both those picks. Ouch.

Twomey starting to put Henry into the top 10...

Now the Swans at 5 area a chance...
Think that is unlikely. The Swans are a big chance to bid Green (if already not bid on by Adelaide). So Sydney pick would be 6, cover with pick 8 isn’t too bad. I would then if that is ends up the case very strongly look at trading 22, 20202nd, 69 for 16/17 and another pick in the 43-52 range.

If Henry is bid at pick 3 or 5 For that matter looking forward to an Ash and Serong are freo. Will ask Henry back in two years once he’s developed. Wowee if we match a bid that’s like rating Henry the same as Rankine..
