Affectionally known by tigers fans as Menaspew, who somehow can’t get a gig over Castagna says it all
Completely different positions but yea not overly inspiring is it.

Having said if Bewley is the best we can do for a state league winger it makes you wonder whether a cheaper opposition winger may do a better job.

While I agree it is a questionable choice I'm willing to give Longmuir a chance with every single player on our list or any player we bring in. We have no idea how they'll play in a new system.

Well Castagna plays forward for starters and is probably in the side for his speed and defensive capabilities. Menadue is a 187cm winger/half-back. Sometimes players on lists that have a pretty much set 22 and going well find it hard to crack into the side.
We would be getting a player that's ready to go (23), has IP from the Tigers, is cheap and looking for a fresh start.

I’m all for getting Menadue types. I’m all for Travis Colyer but they must earn a spot otherwise play the kids.

In the past I don’t feel this was done. I felt some were getting games when they shouldn’t have.

Sorry to intrude but this is friend of a friend type rumour that I have heard.

Apparently freo have been sniffing around Sam Taylor from GWS. I’m unsure of the likelihood given his contract status and I am unsure if freo have a KPD requirement
Yes and no.

We probably have requirement depth wise but best 22 looks covered for a while even if Taylor would be an upgrade.

So basically what I'm saying is we'd have bigger needs than a key defender but Taylor looks like he'll be quality.

Trade Radio is linking us with Zach Merrett???
If it’s this tweet, I think it’s more them saying we need a Zac Merrett type of player. Couldn’t see him coming to us at all, particularly when we’re finally getting the Heppell deal done

Got conformation from a Freo player that kelly and bennell did have a run in. He thought the departure of Bennell might have meant we were a chance to snare him this year.

Menadue started as a defensive high-half forward then shifted further back

Richmond has about 3 million injuries this year and he still couldn’t crack his spot even after a role change

Conca was a good pickup, Colyer not

Menadue is very much Colyer
