This is the thing I find confusing. We run leading teams at Adelaide, which includes ongoing 360 reviews. Why did we need the stupid camp in the first place?

If you have people employed who are out of their depth they reach.

Agree. We shouldn’t be “looking” to do this. If another club wants 4 so badly that they put an offer that is too good to turn down then you think about it. Nobody wants to lose so unlikely.

Possible scenario is if GWS knows that we are going to bid on Green then they might want to give us overs so they can take someone else first and use lower picks as points or go into deficit next year R1. They might give us a deal that is clearly better than 4, otherwise all things being equal, how can we split 4 and win, unless another club is willing to “lose” on that trade.

I was just told the purpose of the camp and that as part of that there was a session where some truths were told.

The irony of the camp is that the AFC is such a bloody conservative football Club and the first time they decide to go rogue and they totally f**k up and get it wrong.

Crouch for Pick 15 and Luko

and you have a deal.

If Luko doesnt extend the contract, thats what Suns will want, ie a 1st rounder.

Honestly would only do it if the pick 2 the AFL gave you guys was involved

My understanding is that it would be the 2020 pick tied to our ladder position, not the pick 11 we were given as a part of our assistance package.

Questions will be asked, what is 2 x top 10 draft picks worth because that is what pick 3 or 4 means to GWS,
They will be asking the question, however. Melb in the Box seat,
This one may play out on the Draft day. If pick 3 is not Green and GWS believe the Crows will call out Green they will make the Call,
would not be surprised if Reid holds out for 3 x 1st rd picks ie GWS's picks 12 and 18 this year and there 2020 1st.
That gives us some Picks for Luko in 2020.

It does play to the theme and yes I am a baby boomer, that millennials do not have the same level of resilience as Gen X and Boomers and have been known to give up when it gets too tough.

Sack those responsible for the camp and the subsequent messaging (or lack of transparency) so we can move on as a group.

After what happened this year, we would be chumps to do that deal. Best case scenario is Crows would likely get pick 1 and have in downgraded to pick 3 when the AFL comes in and gives your shithouse club more priority picks.

But we were in winning position in countless games against the top 8 teams so the players did try in the 1st half of those games.....the not trying occurred at the end of the season against teams we were meant to beat and that's when most saw the "writing on the wall" about Pyke, he approved the camp.

Again I reckon the playing group was promised actions and come mid year, nothing had eventuates and then we end up with what we have. It was a big **** you to the footy department. We beat both Gold Coast (who didn’t) and St Kilda (at home) which the players decided to play however every other game (except West Coast in Perth) would have been considered winnable before we started after the bye and we didn’t give a yelp.

Interesting, it says to me that you are backing yourself in to keep Luko next year.
