While I am happy to use next years first, would not mind keeping it in order to put forward a deal to bring someone in next year. Who exactly I cannot say but I would be putting words in players ears this trade period

This Ben King signing stinks to high hell. Why not sign him after the trade period and make the saints hold onto their first round pick next year and weaken their draft position this year?

Even more that they had pick 6 last week and now they have two mid to late first rounders.

Their problem is that all of Port, Fremantle and Geelong are likely to be stubborn until the death and are no promise of coming to the table. Worst thing is they need all of these deals to go through - it's a terrible look for a club to throw around big contracts and then not be able to get the deal done when it counts. Players and managers won't forget that, especially as Hill and Howard are potentially looking at their biggest pay days ever.

They'll get most done, it'll just be painful. Clubs are stubborn but players are even moreso, they get where they want to go usually.

If Daniher is worth 5, Florent and 25 (which * people consider unders for him), Brown is worth picks 1, 2 and 3.

I know he has some problems but thought Steven would have been a good target / fit for North? Has pace that we need and midfield capability, why wouldn't we have made a play for him?

I agree he'd be a great pick up, but I believe that he's set on Geelong because he's from that area and being in Melbourne is exacerbating his mental illness issues.
