This Ben King signing stinks to high hell. Why not sign him after the trade period and make the saints hold onto their first round pick next year and weaken their draft position this year?
Would be funny to see this house of cards fall and for the Saints just to land Zac Jones after all this. The reverse is that now they need to work out if Bruce is more valuable to them to keep, which affects the Dogs, and hurts their trading for the group they've made offers to even more if Geelong pulls out on Steven.
Gambling on a lowly north finish?

They'll get most done, it'll just be painful. Clubs are stubborn but players are even moreso, they get where they want to go usually.Even more that they had pick 6 last week and now they have two mid to late first rounders.
Their problem is that all of Port, Fremantle and Geelong are likely to be stubborn until the death and are no promise of coming to the table. Worst thing is they need all of these deals to go through - it's a terrible look for a club to throw around big contracts and then not be able to get the deal done when it counts. Players and managers won't forget that, especially as Hill and Howard are potentially looking at their biggest pay days ever.
That is a ridiculous amount to spend on a mid well past his best, a key back with potential but who hasn’t actually proved anything and a winger who isn’t a match winner.
I've heard they thought he was coming to them next year as late as yesterday lunchtime.

* squeezer on Trade Radio saying * should come to us with two first-round draft picks (their current and what they get for Daniher) for BBB. Only because Brown is underpaid for what he has done for us over the last few years. Makes me hate * even more. They can GAGF.
If Daniher is worth 5, Florent and 25 (which * people consider unders for him), Brown is worth picks 1, 2 and 3.* squeezer on Trade Radio saying * should come to us with two first-round draft picks (their current and what they get for Daniher) for BBB. So what you are saying is that they* have access to our spreadsheets, but they* can't find their* own? They know Ben Brown's pay structure now?
I know he has some problems but thought Steven would have been a good target / fit for North? Has pace that we need and midfield capability, why wouldn't we have made a play for him?The reverse is that now they need to work out if Bruce is more valuable to them to keep, which affects the Dogs, and hurts their trading for the group they've made offers to even more if Geelong pulls out on Steven.
Would laugh at them coming for Ben Brown. He’s got something that’s seriously leaking down at Tulla, morals.* squeezer on Trade Radio saying * should come to us with two first-round draft picks (their current and what they get for Daniher) for BBB. Fair call, although calling out Jonno Hay is a bit rough. Thought he was one of many of our very successful trades with the Hawks through that period!!Do not touch.
Doesn't want to be at Moorrabbin and every chance he doesn't even want to play footy. If you were getting his skillset and ability without other conditions, yes - but you're not.
Exhibit A - Jonathan Hay.
I’ll take a, what happened in room 233 at plaza hotel? For $50 please Ed.I agree he'd be a great pick up, but I believe that he's set on Geelong because he's from that area and being in Melbourne is exacerbating his mental illness issues.
