Of course you are. It was the tone of your post and then the attempt to dress it up as fact. He is going to be a Lion for some years to come and has lots of good attributes. Let's focus on them and not his perceived weaknesses.
Kinda agree with Faganslions36 on this one. If he has those opinions, why isn't this the place where he can express them? Just because some don't agree (and I am one of them) doesn't mean he shouldn't be able to give them providing they are not offensive. (which they were not) Really, doesn't this forum allow people to debate/talk about their opinions...right or wrong, or do the PC police own Big Footy also

The other obvious is a big leading forward.

Like gold I know . Later in the season it showed up that we didn't have a bigger guy that two of their defenders had to worry about. I don't see anyone on the horizon. Nor is there maybe anyone currently available . McStay cops a lot of flak for just being not as good as people want him to be . I think he goes as well as he can with the gifts he's got , but one of them isn't kicking 3 or 4 in a game. I've got hope in Wooler and maybe Fullarton , but it's only a hope .

Just having a big guy who presents down there gives the team something to focus on and be more direct when they're not going so hot and it's no mystery that the Tigers really came good once Lynch came good and kept presenting.
The club believes they have more than enough options on their list already for the tall bigger forward developing. Like you, I am also impatient but its easy to forget that most/almost all KPF's don't really surface until they are 24-25 years old. We are a season or 2 away from that happening but I also believe they will. Lynch is about to turn 27, Brown the same, Hawkins 31, Kennedy 32, Darling 27, Cameron 26. Not many of those elite KPF's mentioned were doing what we need at 21-22 years old. It takes time for the body to mature.

I don't think anyone wants to deny someone an opinion, but people get a bit testy and will call out people who make assumptions about a players character, or make statements that are just wrong. this is a general statement and not aimed specifically at Faganslions36.

Who are you sacrificing McStay, Hipwood or Oscar?

He is entitled to them. But he should also expect a bashing.. especially if he goes after one of our young, loyal players in a disproportionately harsh way. Sticking up for a young player is not being 'politically correct' it's just not putting up with garbage and defending our own.

Agree, I'd be staggered if we bought in a key position player at either end. Also hopefully Walker stays he is great coverage at either end in case of injury.

Daniher is out the door. Only a matter of time before he announces he is off. Hope we are speaking to his manager. We should be sprucing the fact that we had the least amount injuries in 2019. Linc McCarthy played 29 games in 5 years at the Cats and played all 22 games this year.

Get up to the Gabba Joey and enjoy the warm weather and a team on the rise.

I got sucked in with the early speculation and I still want Brodie Smith or Rory Laird!

It is definitely doing the rounds though. David Noble got asked the question on trade radio

I agree unless it is an elite KPF in the right age bracket for us which is extremely hard/rare to come by, eg. If we were confident we could get 25 year old Joe Daniher's body right I'd be for bringing him in.... for the right price.

And that's the key to it all isn't it. No doubt that Daniher is an elite 26 year old KPF providing he is fit and plays. My questions to all that before we go "ALL IN" for him is: How much$? Who do we sacrifice for him coming into the list? Can we roll the dice on his fitness? Al, these questions and more!!! Lucky we have Noble & Co who I trust will make the right decisions for whats best for the club.

Read my post next time. I was responding to his assertion that his opinion was "fact" which he subsequently conceded it wasn't. No objection to contrary views/opinions. As you say, within boundaries, that is one of the purposes of this forum. But personally I get sick of posters bagging our players which is how I would characterise his original post about Witherden. He's free to express it and I am free to express my dislike of it. It's nothing even approaching political correctness.

I'm not sacrificing anybody.

If there's a weakness in your list you try to fill it and/or work harder with the guys you've got . If you fill it with someone who plays every week who's better than what you've got then you redifine their roles to fit into the team structure .

Plus you've got injuries to deal with as a rule.

It's clear that we can improve our overall performance in that key area and unless you're constantly on the lookout for better players to improve your list then you don't get anywhere in this game . All players from every club have to deal with that.

OK. Not PC. Another one....OFFENSIVE!!! There's another overused one for the snowflakes in this world then.

It seems weird to me that someone throwing their toys out of the cot for having their rather brash opinion challenged is somehow being painted as a victim of PC culture.

As I said, peak Boomer. “My opinion isn’t being lauded as an unchallengeable piece of sage like wisdom... can I blame political correctness or accuse those who disagree of being offended snowflakes?”.

Who is the real snowflake demanding a “safe space” in this scenario? Truly.

It’s a forum. If people want to shout at the world and expect it to be an entirely comfortable, one-way experience, they are on the wrong platform.

Thanks but reading it once was enough. lol.

The only player who is 'available' as a key position player that is better than what we have is Daniher, by all reports he's headed to the Swans. I don't think Jenkins is better than Walker and he can't get a game ahead of McStay or Hipwood.

I'm not into thinking it's more than a remote possibility but if their was any way of snaring Daniher I'd be doing whatever it reasonably took because he'd make a massive difference to our team , including freeing up a couple of players who currently have a big responsibility every week and are still learning.

One way experience or not, think should be Ok to say what he said in this forum. For the record I don't agree with his comments but I do agree with him saying what's on his mind providing its not dis-respectful or offensive. If he said something really positive, nothing would be made of it but because its not complementary, he is told to tone it down. Sure he should be ready for the people to come back and debate what he says be it with or against his comments. That's what I thought one the thing things this PLATFORM was here for...opinions & debate of opinions. Talking in detail about his thoughts and others view may even give him a different perspective on Witho…..maybe.

I don't want Jenkins Macca but Hipwood nearly did his knee last year and we need to look to strengthening our list in that area if we can because we've had a dream run to date.
