It could be worse, what if Tom Cutler went to the Magpies where he would inevitably win the Copeland Trophy and AA selection... now we would never hear the end of that.

AA side 2020- Crisp and Cutler on the wings, Aish back pocket, Keays small forward, all from Collingwood.

If those are their best it's mmmkay with me.;)

Small forward flank, more of a clean marking lead up forward then a crumber. Possible chance of turning into a forward/mid but I’m not sure on that. Strong hands, quick, brilliant user of the footy. Light framed though and hasn’t been overly consistent or been able to nail a spot in the team

What do you reckon a fair trade would be? Obviously was a high pick but as you say hasn’t been in the team consistently and has had some injury concerns.

Maybe our second rounder (likely to be in the 30s) and a sweetener? If you guys were interested in one of our veterans that might end up being the add on. Collingwoods first and your second which he hold seem a bit high for mine.

For those who can't read the story it talks about Lewy Taylor moving to either SA club.
No can't read it, does it mention either the Crows or Power as more of a chance or option for Lewy? Does the article seem credible and who was the journalist?

First thing I think of when a player may move to another club is players at the other club who'd be a good fit for us who could be part of or all of the trade. eg. SPP, Brodie Smith, Hugh Greenwood.

That's massive overs for a guy that has hardly done a lot at Gold Coast of all clubs.

Yeah that's fair. I was largely going off the talk of this draft being pretty weak. I also feel like he's the sort of player who could never look good in a struggling team, but might in a good team. Late second rounder/early third probably closer to the mark.

Like others I don't have a detailed memory of what type of player Callum Ah Chee is, can anyone on here do a detailed scouting report on him? Interested in whether small forward/small defender/midfield is his best spot and how he plays each position.

He was a high draft selection (8) so there must be some high end talent/ceiling in him.
Allen Christensen’s replacement.

That’s what I believe. Our own second round pick or Freo’s third round pick.

If we’re recruiting Ah Chee, I wonder if that has a flow on effect to our draft.

It makes me question whether we’d consider drafting both Keidean Coleman and Noah Cumberland.

Can play both flanks well and imo doesn't need to be a full time mid To have to have a good impact. His hands are incredible for his size.

Ah Chee is still only 21. Unlikely to be the kind of player to thrive in a bottom 4 side plus he's battled injuries which is not uncommon at the Suns. Add him as a role player to a top 4 side like ours with a great coaching/development team lead by Fages and our terrific medical team and he may flourish. He has a lot of talent that's for sure.

And this one from in his draft year.

Does he have to replace anyone? Blessed with injuries this year, and he hasnt been playing consistent senior footy. He would need to get fit and force his way in first.

Again I wonder, if we take Ah Chee who is he replacing?
I wouldnt say he would be replacing anyone but from the player he is described as in previous posts it sounds like he is a bit of a linc mccarthy clone only younger (quick, good hands, kick and a good mark). He would certainly be a good injury replacement for linc and would step into his shoes in a few yrs if he doesn't force his way into the team before that. A good get in my opinion, depth to start with and potential best 22. Getting players like this speaks to the club looking ahead to future success as well as the success short term. I like it.

Could enter competition with Cox for Bundy's role or Starc for Hodge's role. Capable as a flanker at both ends. Either way we get another talented, 21 year old in the door to compete for a best 22 spot driving even higher standards.

Yeah Fagan and Noble are focused on building a team for a sustained period of success. Ah Chee adds to that both short term and long term.

Ah Chee given his injuries would only be worth our late 2nd rounder, which is at best #35, but probably pushes out to high 30s once the Suns get their priority pick + a few compo picks for whoever this years FAs are.

Suspect we could just do a direct swap with Keays potentially however if we're inclined to let Keays go - he's easily in their best 22 and fit.
