Please bring in Mason Cox.

Cheaper than Hickey and will be able to provide the same quality of work.

He is on to much money i think.

Last 2 drafts we've picked up

Blakey, McInerny, Rowbottom. Foot, Warner, Stephens

No harm in backing our recruitment team

Agreed. That is a good group. I love McInerney and Rowbottom especially, and I suspect Stephens will turn out to be a good selection. Warner and Foot are still up in the air but they could turn out to be great choices too.

I think Hickey is a significantly better ruckman than Cox. They are completely different players. One is a ruckman, one is a key forward.

Not sure what you are saying here?
Riccardi was drafted by GWS
Himmelberg and Finlayson are from their academy
Hogan has been moved on from a couple of clubs already.
Vs Buddy who has been a champion for us.

Riccardi was pick 51. Totally gettable.

Buddy 34 and injured.

Im saying we dont have any young key fwd prospects.

Glaring hole.

Are our recruiters alseep at the wheel?

In a way, I kind of understand what Collingwood is doing.

They are desperate to get off Treloar's contract, but they can only do it if he asks to be traded.

When he does agree to be traded, it will be interesting to see if a club is dumb enough to give Collingwood anything of value for a negative asset.

Not sure how you can be happy with the list atm and just want internal improvement to get you from 2nd worst percentage and 3rd bottom

I don't think anyone is saying they are happy with the list.

Sometimes there just isn't the value there or you can't convince players to come.

Should we just go and make trades for the sake of it? Trade pick 3 for Crouch or Treloar's toxic contract.

I dont think if we are quiet again it means anything about what we think about the list.

What part is poor?

We are clearly playing the long game, but it is the right strategy if you want to have a period of sustained success.
Playing the long game means resigning ourself to wasting the end of Buddy and JPK's careers, and the end of the prime of players like Parker, Rampe, and Lloyd for the promise of the next crop.

Sure, Heeney, Mills, Rowbottom et al might turn into a premiership core, but we've still got some pretty bloody good players on our list who now may not play another meaningful game in Swans colours.

At the same time, we've let best 22 players like Jones, Rohan, Hanners and Nankervis leave the club only to watch them play September footy whilst bringing in depth players like Taylor and Thurlow. And who's to say it stops there? Papley wanted out. What do we do if Hewett or Dawson want to leave next season?

Sure, playing the long game is a sound strategy, but you're gambling of a bunch of promising unknowns reaching the level of senior players on the list right now, if they even stick around at all.
