We should definitely be enquiring about treloar.

Not for pick 3 and only with Collingwood paying a significant portion of his salary.

Probably no interest in moving to NSW, but we should still be asking.

Collingwood have basically told him to clean out his locker and taken his fob off him.

His wife is a Sydney girl. Would be interesting if he came back to Sydney after wanting to leave the Giants

Gardiner.

Not going to be active participants in this trade period.
We are looking for improvement within the club.
Talking to a few clubs about potential rucks.
Allir Allir aside from he is contract and talks with Port were very brief.

Well the first point he did not quite say that, he said we were not going to be involved in any mega Buddy Franklin style deals.

Charlie Gardiner also said that Hickey is looking to get back to the east coast for family reasons with his wife and kids. So that might explain how this came about in the first place.

Worth mentioning Twomey's latest articles doesn't even have Campbell in the top 9 players

Goes:
1. Juh
2-6. Hollands, Thilthorpe, Phillips, McDonald, Grangier-Barras
7-8. Bruhn & Henry
9. Perkins

But fans on this page are worried North will bid on Campbell at 2?

Seems to me like we're unlikely to go for DGB. I know nothing about him as a player other than on paper, but with McCartin firming to stay in defence, Aliir wanting to play as a permanent defender and also Melican on board along with Rampe, Mills, and Gould, I don't see much space for him.

Seems to me that we'd be either wanting a KPF like Thilthorpe/McDonald or a top line midfielder like Phillips/Hollands.

We're looking to hold onto Pick 3.
Buddy is in the gym already looking to get ready for 2021. He sounds pretty determined.

Yeah scoring option strikes me as interest in McDonald or Hollands.

Buddy compensation was pick 19. Clearly it’s a system based on drawing numbers from the lottery.
Once the contract achieves band 1, it goes after the pick receiving club’s pick. So will become pick 2 for the bottom team and pick 19 for the top finishing team.

It’s not a perfect system but you can argue that the flag winning team getting pick 1 or 2 back for a player leaving isn’t fair for the bottom teams as it pushes them back.

misconception that gets posted a lot across the site

Also sounds like we are not against trading in 2020 picks using 2021 picks.
got to get greedy this year iMO, and get a 4th Pick in the 1st 25 and under range..as our current 24 will be a eaten by Guilden and Campbell
Nik Cox, son of Darryl could be in that range...swans probably considered by the industry to be a bottom 5 finish next year, so around 1800 and up points. so trade that future 1st for a 20s (800 odd points) and use the remaining thousand (plus) to help with this year academy kids.
look for rucks next year in the 3rd and 4th round, maybe even those academy ruck(s) if they are considered to be developing nicely..

Like I've said before.... Wait to next year and the following year and I'm certain we will be big players in trade week.

Kennedy and Bud cash will be almost freed up and will have some serious cash and ammo to play with. Sitting out this trade season isn't going to be the breaking of the club.

I have a suspicion we could land Grundy if the Pies are willing to pay a chunk of his wage. Sounds like something we could pull off however it's just a wild thought
