Still think we are a massive show for Thilthorpe if the Crows pass. Who wouldn't want an agile 200cm forward that can swing in to the ruck. At this stage we have:

Patton - an injured truck
Obrien - almost a key forward
Jeka - raw
Gunston - 3rd tall

Almost comical.

It’s only called the fab 5 cause that is what Cal Twomey called them and the rest of the media followed. None of the media watches much junior footy. Sydney rate Bruhn in the top 5. Who knows what the 17 other clubs think.
Cal bases his thoughts on the fab 5 from talks he's had with recruiters.

What are the indicators you're looking at here?
His running style seems to have improved since the first footage his dad posted imo.
It's subtle, but when someone is doing something as simple as jogging in a straight line, your feet should at the very least be pointing forward and your knee should not jolt inwards on the leading leg. The trailing leg should also hinge at the knee so the lower leg goes straight back, not flared out at an angle.

This isn't the perfect view as its not straight on but these same subtle issues speak of compensation for something hidden - usually at the ankle or hip.

Ideally the legs should look like pistons when they go up and down in linear sense without any added rotation.

It may be a big deal, it may never be a problem. Its just where my eyes go if someone's already had a nasty leg injury.

There was a Twitter post from the Hawks earlier this year showing Golds doing some post ACL rehab exercises and his mechanics were shocking - albeit he wasn't at 100% at the time. Its a much better example but it all speaks to the same common issues that set athletes up to fail.

Edit: Found it!

0.45 and 1.56 show this a little more.

Commas, Bro, commas.

The comma is a rare commodity on Big Footy forums. Have has also been replaced by of, and the noun bias is often substituted for the verb biased.
However, few of us are grammatically perfect, and punctuation is probably de trop for many.
Finally, for the sake of relevance, I am hoping for Phillips or DGB on Draft night.

Great post and thanks for the insight.

While I wish him all the best with his recovery and career, I do believe he'll slide similarly to Brodie Kemp and will be playing at another club.

Essendon with their trio of selections are in an ideal position to take a risk and hopefully for Elijah's sake it pays off for them 😁

That’s literally his job. Not to guess, but to find out what the people making the decisions are thinking.
Yep, he’s a good reporter. He gets good intel and reports it. Much better than reading cheap opinions from people who know little about the players. Twomey bases his reports on what club recruiters tell him, which is always credible as he never reveals sources by name, so he’s trusted.

If we’re not taking Hollands, he’s either gone before our pick or we’re not comfortable with aspects of his injury or his ability to stay healthy.

I’d be happy with any of the top 5... only keen on Perkins if we're splitting the pick.
Cant be happy with the knee.
Will be there at 4. Big call to pass.

In terms of list build he’s possibly the best option for us. Our key forward stocks are the worst in the AFL. I still want Hollands for the excitement but if we can’t trust the knee, so be it. A monster to build the forward line around is pivotal

Or maybe his rehab ....
I know I’ll cop it for this but looking at his current body shape I’m not sure how well he’s looked after himself during Covid . That may extend to his rehab .
