You basically just described every prospect from Victoria and, to a slightly lesser extent, prospects from other states with no representative footy being played .

Even the good ones benefit from being the "big banana" in their top age year and rep footy helps a lot of of prospects further down the order stand out a bit more against elite competition than they otherwise may have (such as Caleb Daniel for example).

Baldwin has red flags all over him from where I sit, given our track record at developing kids with injury issues hasn't exactly been great.

The surgeon claiming that a partial tear of a recently reconstructed ACL somehow isn't related to the original injury seems like a bit or a head scratcher?

Baldwin is definitely worth the punt outside the first round, he’s top 10 on talent imo, and comfortably. Agreed that there are red flags though, taking a kid who’s done two ACL’s already before turning 18 is a risky move early in the draft, and one I’d prefer not to take.

I might have been reading between the lines but I thought the proposal I was responding to was something around taking Baldwin and Reef as our first two picks (hopefully Reef bid match coming after our first pick). If we're going to take a punt then I'd rather bank a first round pick and Reef if we can manage it first before looking at who our flyers might be.

Would Richmond's second round pick come to late to grab Baldwin? Possibly, but I guess we'd have virtually back to back picks in the second and third rounds to trade up to something earlier in the second in a trade with a team that needs points?

We’ll need those picks at a minimum to match a bid on Reef imo, so really if we miss out on a KPP in the first round we’ll be between a rock and a hard place. It will be interesting to see how it pans out but it would be incredibly disappointing to walk away with 3 mods in a draft that seems so rich in KPP talent.

There is a section hidden on my spreadsheet next to their name (as well as state, team, etc.) but I haven't found the time/energy to populate it yet. Hopefully in the next edition 👍

What I do need is someone with a list bigger than 25-30!

Check out Chris25 Davo-27 and Smythe on the draft board, all have rankings up to 50

Not as brothers maybe cousins or something I happened to stumble across Wills Instagram and saw Tom was one of the only AFL players following him and then saw Tom was following basically all his family too.

Ooh. I'm not sure. I haven't heard anything to connect the two. Can't rule it our there is something there.
 
One of my best mate’s sons was interviewed by Hine during the week and is in the draft pool this year. Will be at the combine.

He’s a late draft possibility I believe. He’s had a late growth spurt and would have to be circa 195cm. Played as a utility type last year as an under-ager.

I won’t name him but will identify him later down the track if he’s in contention.

He’s a super kid from a super family btw.

Funny, when Dekka mentioned him he said I can’t remember who I was speaking to but they grew 3cm this year.
He said it another time too about someone else.
I laughed, as if Dekka would forget the player!

Obviously you're not going to name anyone or give too much away but I'd be extremely interested to know how Hine and co present themselves compared to other clubs.

I mean I guess it doesn't matter as it's generally us picking them and not the other way around, but intriguing nonetheless.
