List Mgmt. 2020 Draft Thread

One of my best mate’s sons was interviewed by Hine during the week and is in the draft pool this year. Will be at the combine.

He’s a late draft possibility I believe. He’s had a late growth spurt and would have to be circa 195cm. Played as a utility type last year as an under-ager.

I won’t name him but will identify him later down the track if he’s in contention.

He’s a super kid from a super family btw.

Funny, when Dekka mentioned him he said I can’t remember who I was speaking to but they grew 3cm this year.
He said it another time too about someone else.
I laughed, as if Dekka would forget the player!

I was going to post something similar when he said it I really hope he was talking to Reef.

The family friend suggested that from the juniors he just looked like a player who was destined to be drafted

On one hand we could say "Hineally" but on the other hand, Hine would probably pass on the bid and draft an inside mid instead.

perspective = Over 5 years only half the AFL clubs (9) drafted a tall in the first round.

McDonald and DGB no question. We lack depth at both ends. Reef coming in, Randall, Bianco, then daicos next year. KPP more pressing

Ugle-Hagan pick 1. Force the Doggies hand. McDonald 2.

If the Doggies match it gets a little tougher. Hard to know whether to go for another KPP type now or hope to grab another later in the draft. If another tall it'd be DGB. Gives you the book ends and both from WA so will know each other. If a mid it'd be a tough call between Phillips, Bruhn (knee issue), or Hollands (knee issue).

With Reef coming later I'd probably take a punt on Hollands knee and pick him. Really highly touted before his ACL.

Of course it might also be fun to make a bid on Campbell and see what the Swans do. Think he'll be a jet.

More perspective, the last time Hine drafted a KPP in the first round with his own selection, was 14 years ago.
