I’d say the decision was recruiter driven, they want to see him play midfield or something along those lines.

I'd say it's more to do with the niggle he's been recovering from and probably needs the gallop before pitting him against the bigger bodies.

Talent wise I believe he's definitely 1st round material, probably in the back end of the round......will no doubt get down to whether he nominates Adelaide as his preference or goes the open draft , if he nominates Adelaide it will all come down to when a bid comes in.

My gut feel if he chooses the open draft option he'll go earlier than if he goes the F/S route.

So honest question, how are GWS really travelling right now?

I’ll admit, I’m desperately looking to see cracks in their armour that probably aren’t their, but those 2 losses to teams they should have beaten was certainly interesting.

And now with Taranto out, and Kelly, Whitfield and Greene all Tests they are up against a pretty in form Collingwood, and Wildcard team in Hawthorn, and the top of the table Port.

Is it possible that they come out of round 6 at 1-5?

Even if they are 2-4, in a 17 game season that’s gonna be a tough run home to make finals.

I can easily picture a scenario where both are best 22. Go for 2 190 cm+ inside midfielders and surround them with a good mixture of pace and skill.

Very much different players and they could definitely be complimentary .

I like Hately for his ability to be dangerous up forward as well , maybe similar to a David Mundy .

O'Connor has huge upside and as mentioned previous he has similar traits to a young Elliot Yeo .

If he ends up 80-85% of a Yeo we have a top flight prospect .
