What do we all think of Dow? Does anyone think he could have a similar surge in output to Jobe Watson in his 4th year / Josh Kennedy (Syd) in his 5th year? I've still got faith that he can develop into the player we're hoping him to.

Dow at Carlton looks like 2 different players.

The 1st (under Bolton) thrown in the deepend as an inside mid. But showed signs that he'll develop into hard running inside mid with break away speed. Looked very exciting and could develop into Dangerfield/Dusty.

The 2nd (under Teague) was played out of position as a small forward where he looked lose and lacks confidence.

Like SPS, Dow need as an inside mid.

60% disposal efficiency for a player that handballs more than he kicks and has more uncontested possessions than contested is abnormally poor and is why Bucks wants him gone.
Do you think that equates to being cooked?
Our captain handballs way more than he kicks and I’ve never thought of it as a thing to discredit his game.

You’re right, Treloar goes at 60% efficiency, he also goes at over 110M gained more per game and with a difference of 0.9 possession difference between contested and uncontested it isn’t like he’s a outside player.

Anyway these are reasons why you choose to value a player the way you do, none of what you stated or his output this season shows that he is COOKED

Is anyone worried about Cameron wanting to go to Geelong. I feel it may effect Williams coming to us. And also could we get player like Clark out of the cats, if Cameron gets there.

It won't have any impact on the Williams situation IMO.

Cameron going to Geelong won't have any bearing on Williams coming to us.

If Geelong need someone to help facilitate a trade, I hope we have a look at Clark and Parfitt.

No, especially as GWS are suggesting they'll match the Cameron offer. To the contrary, if GWS insist on retainning Cameron, and Cats have to trade it may well help us to extract Cats two 1st round picks for our 7.

Im not. GWS will have there hands full. But could help us trade pick 7 to Geelong for 2 later 1st rounders.

GWS CEO Dave Matthews: "It's highly likely that we will match the offer, so the ball is in Geelong's court to see if they can satisfy us with a trade"

Sam McClure: "What's he worth?"

Dave Matthews: "Treloar & Shiel were worth 2 first round picks... And key forwards are hard to find"

His body is shot mate. He's cooked, get over it.

Anyone else think we could trade Pick 7 with Geelong for 16 and Narkle. Then on trade 16 to * for Saad?

Geelong would bite our ****ing hand off.

Narkle doesn't hold anywhere near enough value to be involved in a trade with first round picks.

Funny thing quite a few media people and platforms have actually believed and commented that *** can recover very quickly with their rebuild by going to the draft armed with picks 6,7 (Daniher compo) & 8 (Carlton pick for Saad) not too mention players and other picks included ontop of them as well... F’kn hilarious, the way Dodoro is going about things from reports it’s possible things might get very messy and hopefully end up with sfa... Geez the melts would be gold...

Just Dodoro employing C.A.R.E.

Cover arse, retain employment. He moves the spotlight to the coaches pre-emptively and catches none of the media flak when it fails. How do you think hes survived so long?

Narkle may be delisted or go for a late pick. I'd ask for Jordan Clarke.

If Jeremy Cameron goes for pick 10, Saad must be worth nothing more than a 2nd rounder

In the scenario that Oliver requested a trade to Carlton, I don't think we could do any more than offer pick 7 plus next year's first (possibly with another pick coming our way).

Would Melbourne be willing to accept those picks in the hope of then dealing them for established players from other clubs? Because if not I can't see a deal being done.
It would want to be a 3 club trade kind of a deal, in which Melbourne end up with one of the KPF's on offer comp wide.

Brown and our 2021 second to Melbourne, picks 7 to Nth, Oliver to Carlton could be workable, give or take a few things in any direction. Overs to North for an uncontracted player, but you've got to bring them to the table somehow and try to get them to talk Brown into it.

Plenty of posters keen for us to rebuild via the draft and do the hard work, which I was and probably deep down still against. Now they just want to trade the kids for established players.....human nature, right!!
Trading away players conserves more picks which at worst is an equivalence rather than a contradiction. Perhaps some of us believe we've seen enough from certain players to know/think that we need to mix things up a little. We can persevere with struggling midfielders and small backmen to a point but unless they up their game they are just going to lose out to the payers we bring in and their trade value will continue to diminish. Having said that, trading away a player with Kemp's upside before he's even fired a shot in anger is madness.

Whatever he’s been doing it’s working for him...
Curious with Sheedy coming aboard if the support continues and strengthens his tenure, I’m guessing yes, has strong Coterie backings the blinkers are well and truely on...
As much as I’d love for that club to not change and keep rolling along in self destruction, it has to be absolutely annoying the hell out of clubs dealing with the bloke every friggin year...
