You have trouble with the bleeding obvious, namely that facts and truth are very often not the same thing, one merely being an element in the other?

Perhaps the truth (or even, for that matter, the facts) might be more obvious if the clip hadn't been so blatantly, stupidly and pointlessly chopped out of context.

(1) What do you think a synonym is? A word equivalent. A word that can be used in place of another with a very similar (in some cases even identical) meaning.

(2) In the longer clip (which I forgot to add to my last post but have edited to include now) he said " We choose unity over division. We choose science over fiction. We choose truth over facts." This was the same day he also mistakenly referred to himself as the President of the US.

Everyone (other than fools willing to perform superhuman mental gymnastics in his defense) admits 'truth over facts' was a gaffe, including Joe himself who months later articulated what he had meant to say in the following tweet.

When the incumbent spews out dozens of gaffes every time he opens his mouth, why would anyone focus on isolated utterances made by his rival?

It's pretty simple. There are two presidential contenders, Trump and Biden.

There are no other choices.

Trump is much worse than Biden.

So people should vote for Biden.

Not sure why anyone would attempt to make a case for anything else.

Truth is not necessarily the same thing as facts, and that's both a fact and the truth, but that's just coincidence.

You seemed really fixated on one gaffe from Biden is all. On the subject of presidential coherence, there is an elephant in the room. A veritable gaffe-making machine. A man who after nearly four years in arguably the most powerful role in the world was completely incapable of telling a completely sympatico interviewer what he intended to do if elected for a second term.

Biden is so clearly of sounder mind than Trump I don't know why anyone would raise such an irrelevant topic. Hardly a matter of "opinion".
