That's going to be the hard part for the Republicans. I guess that's what they have lawyers for, being able to skirt the law legally.
Using pre-recorded speeches would be okay, as speakers wouldn't be physically be there?

yes, but its still a campaign event on federal property. anyone who is paid by the government would not legally be allowed to be there (kushner, ivanka, barr etc). and legally they should not be campaigning nor making political statements (no mention of Biden etc).

Yes. I did mention having it outdoors and the South Lawn might be OK. That actually might work and with the OK for fireworks add to the event. I wonder if there are restrictions as to outdoor gatherings in DC. Even so, would Trump even follow that? There would have to be a plan in case of rain. Just so many things this little flu thing has screwed up.
Wow, I am emotionally drained after hearing Obama speak.

Haven't really heard nor seen so much emotion since he went around saying good-bye to his staff.

My friend is making curry and naan for us for dinner tonight in honour of Kamala. That's just fine. I'm hoping she doesn't make cheesesteak sandwiches tomorrow night in honour of Joe. I had one with fries on it at a baseball game in Pittsburgh and hated it. 🤮

Why would they follow the D
Do you really think the fact that she was supported by the Justice Democrats meant that she didn't do any work to get elected?

Did I say she didn't?

Yes. You said:

Or was that not sarcasm?

I meant getting selected. Her brother put the application in without her knowledge. So it's not like she strived for it.

There is a significant difference between being selected by the Justice Democrats as a candidate to be supported and winning an election to the US Congress. The vast majority of candidates that were given that support did not succeed in getting elected.

Once again you're arguing a point I didn't make. I get it. You're a fan.

Here is the post you were replying to when you said that "she sure worked for it"

Yes, she got where she is by 'SJW word salads'. Got her self elected to the US House of Representatives, and got herself a speaking part on the DNC National Convention by reciting a few empty words of the sort that get RWNJs all riled up. You've sure got her number.

So.... when you responded to this post about her getting herself elected to Congress and implied she didn't work for it, you weren't referring to her getting herself elected to Congress?

My point was she was painted as a struggling minority bartender who worked her way up.ftom the bottom.

She grew up in a very affluent suburb and was chosen because her brother sent in a application. Then once selected she had substantial backing and resources at her disposal.

I'm not saying she then didn't work hard to be elected to Congress.

I'm just saying, she didn't work hard to be selected. She just interviewed after her brother put in an application.

I also think it goes against the struggling bartender story that was painted about her.

The man she replaced was the fourth most powerful Democrat in the party. He was so arrogant that he didn't take her seriously and kept failing to turn up and debate her for pre-selection. so do you vote for the pretty lady in front of you or the absent person that was never in the district.

Obama realised that he was more popular being away from the White House playing golf than to doing what he was elected to do.

They like their own identity politics. Just don't like other people's

Case on point from Trump today:

Sorry to bump this again but reading John Bolton's memoir he cites a couple of instances of the only prerequisite to a person getting a role be that they are female.

Specifically UN ambassador in this case.

You have trouble with the bleeding obvious, namely that facts and truth are very often not the same thing, one merely being an element in the other?

Perhaps the truth (or even, for that matter, the facts) might be more obvious if the clip hadn't been so blatantly, stupidly and pointlessly chopped out of context.

I mean I definitely prefer the truth over alternative facts.
