Lol seriously can we just have a ban on posting things ol clickbait Kornes says…

none of it is interesting and it’s all designed to just stir people up.

Hodgey wants a new rule! Hodgey gets a new rule.

No more clickbait shit from Cornes in here.

Also:
Can we also threadban Rendell quotes. The bloke is senile.
Done ✔️

Or maybe they restructure the deal to a 2 or 3 year contact so he takes a pay cut this season but gets the added security of a longer contract - we pay whatever portion they can’t afford over next season .. there’s always a way..

Also how the hell would Jon Ralph know their exact remaining salary cap - seems like he’s just speculating like always …
He has already been called out for his bullshit re: player salaries by a few of the Demons boys including Max Gawn. The guy has no idea and it's absolutely bullshit that he can get away with saying something that is incorrect like that.

The other thing to mention is the final 2022 salary cap figures still haven’t been released either so yeah sounds like Ralph pulled it out his a$$

Can see us bringing both lynch and land hams 🐖 once cegler departs, just depends if port crack the sads and live in the clouds or if they gain some
Awareness

I only tuned in towards the end of the Hawks Insider broadcast on Twitter, but Jon Ralph was apparently adamant we have experienced players (and it sounded like more than just Gunston) on the table and determined to get high end picks. I know, I know - it's a footy journalist, but apparently he was certain of it.

No idea what we'd want to do with 41 for Ceglar. In that area where you could easily on-trade for someone else, trade into next season or hope to find gold in the draft.
Isn’t this likely to be closer to a mid 30s pick once all the shuffling happens for father-sons

GWS will need to match a bid for Fahey, 41 for a future second round pick. Gives them 41+53 to match any bid inside the top 30.

Don’t like helping the arrogants but happy to get something for Cegs.

I’d hope maybe we could push them for pick 34 - once you get into the 40’s most of the sliding talent is off the board and you’re looking at project players..
Good news is we won’t be helping them. Ceglar is ordinary and 30+. This is what I want to see

Because Collingwood and the Bulldogs have pick 22 and 23 respectively - does this mean that our pick 24 will turn into pick 22 as a result of bids on father sons?

Former Hawk and media commentator Ben Dixon, has no connections? Really?
He has no inside info on a Gunston trade to Brisbane because there is no Gunston trade to Brisbane. He is simply trying to stay relevant and maintain a media job just like this gem from 2019:

If they still hold them on draft night.

If the cats end up with 19, I would rather give them a pick swap tbh.

21 and Jon Ceglar for 19 and a future 4th. That 19 could easily turn into a 2022 First Round pick when people come shopping after the first night of the Draft is done.

An article from 3 years ago isn't particularly relevant.

As of now there is no Gunston trade, but I think you need to stop with the gatekeeping on who does and doesn't know anything.

Not all inside information comes true, it's just true at that point in time. You don't think for one second that Clarkson leaving this year and not willing to go under a REBUILD might just be connected to the events around coaching jobs at Carlton and Hawthorn?

With Ceglar gone and McEvoy close to the end, we desperately need a good young mobile and versatile ruck that can work with and complement Reeves. We can't afford to trade in another lumbering ruckman.

I'd be hoping our recruiting team are leaving no stone unturned talking to the competition's good mobile ruck prospects / managers to try and pry them away and to us.

Can Ladhams or Lynch become that player? If not, move on.

Who else is there?

Nothing is happening this trade period. The media have to talk about something and we are a more sexy story than North Melbourne trading out a Cunnington, Goldstein or Ziebell. Dixon is doing his job and giving Fox Footy something to talk about on a 30 minute trade show where the highlight of the day was Melbourne picking up a delisted St.Kilda reject and a pick swap.

One thing we can all agree on is that Clarko was never going to break a contract to go and coach another team.
