Anyone know if it is streamed?
A couple of the Draft Central writers have been a little vocal about having Tsatas firmly ahead of Ashcroft as the front runner for next year’s number 1 pick.

Surprised Twomey didn’t mention Duursma jr in the article. Talked him up a little in this weeks Road to the Draft podcast. He’s a bottom ager, not turning 16 until the end of the year, but made the U17 squad.

Not just the squad Duursma will be lining up for Country on Saturday, named down back.

I wouldn’t say Tsatas is firmly ahead of Ashcroft but I do prefer him at this stage, Tsatas might take a bit of time to get going aswell coming of a collarbone injury

Just how good is Duursma jr?

He is looking like an elite talent, could be a taller and overall better version of his older brother which I saying something as I really rate Xavier

Minimum he is top 3 contender,so I assume we can expect the spoon team to bid on him with pick 1?
As long as none of our academy kids are projected to be bid on in the first round next year, there’s a chain of thought that we really just need enough draft picks and points to pay for Ashcroft.

We can carry a draft deficit on second or later round picks in to the following year’s draft, to a point.

If we look like having a couple of years of decent academy kids, it’s certainly a strategy I would consider.

Deficits come off the your pick in the same round. So our following first.

By way of contrast, picks 29-32 would, between them, completely pay to match pick 1. And you can find picks in that region pretty cheaply. Just saying...

I don’t believe you understood what I said.

I know I've mentioned him before but if Narkle can't get a game above a couple of the guys they had out there tonight it almost makes me think they've already agreed to part ways, similar to Cockatoo last season

Is there any player from the gold coast suns that any of you guys would like? Seems like a lot of clubs will be raiding their list, and we should try to get in on that. A lot of their players love the lifestyle up here (which we can give) and we're a much bigger club with finals aspirations.

Prior to this year I would have said Ainsworth, but he's been pretty pathetic when in the team. Worry a lot about the attitude of Suns players as well.

I'd be keen to get Touk Miller in FA in 2022 though.

I would still go after ainsworth tbh. I remember him being on record saying he wanted to come to us during his draft year, and i'm sure we were going that way until Mcluggage slipped in the draft and we went with him instead. I think they're a lot of gold coast players (including ainsworth) that will play much better under a proper system in a good side.

Jack Lukosius would be a great get, elite kick of the footy and would be even better in a well structured team like ours.
