Think we'll know in next two weeks if we have a chance at pick 1. We need North to pick up a win v Carlton or Essendon.

Then we lose all our games, which means Hawthprn and North overtake us. That's all :)

Disgraceful people here wanting another spoon for some kid who hasn't proven anything
Absolutely agree and Collingwood and Dogs shouldn't match on an unproven kids and we shouldn't complain for not being able to select an unproven kid last year and we wouldn't be p**sed if Keeler had a massive year and we couldn't get him next year and we were much happier for McAsey vs Rowell or Anderson and I bet Hamish hated the concept of being forced to take TT last year.

No sorry I'm just emploring the club to continue the process it choose to go down the bottom to do it properly and take full advantage of a crap system so we don't revisit for the next 2 decades and hopefully do a Hawthorn, Geelong or Richmond.

I don't understand why people can care so little about finishing stone motherless last?

Does the disappointment of being worst not come close to the positiveness of winning a flag?

Maybe it's not the same, but the humiliation has to mean something.

Once upon a time, yes. But does anyone care about the times Hawthorn or West Coast finished bottom?

Nope, all they care about are the premierships they've won.

I think it's a case of gains loom larger than losses when it comes to premierships versus spoons (or simply being hopeless).

Look at Richmond. All that humiliation just doesn't matter anymore. People who have lived through the bad then good times will be quick to remind people that they suffered, but I bet you they're always going to be content with the last 30 years.

Each draft is different as well. Last year wouldn't have mattered as there were the top few that were rated similar. This year there is a clear stand out just like the Rowell draft.

FWIW I don't think we'll finish last anyway. The way this season has gone, we'll win at least another game, meaning north would have to win at least 3 (not to mention the Hawks). Unlikely imo

Mate

Im with you, I dont want to finish bottom, I don't care who is available at pick 1.

I dont care about the humiliation either, my concern is you don't want to flirt with creating a losing environment and DNA.... it doesn't matter who you bring in it's hard to turn that around.

Ill rather get 2 more wins this year and have pick four, then go win less and likely end up with pick 2.

Looking at the ladder and remaining fixtures ,I struggle to see how we get last unless there are so real upsets

I'm calling pick 4

Yup. I'm similar seeing there are three genuinely winnable games at home left.

If our draw was flipped, then it'd be a real possibility for a team that is skidding.

I couldn’t care less. If you’re not the premier then the season doesn’t matter. You’re better off with better draft picks.

He’s still a low value position player.

He was meant to grow into holding a key post, and now he’s an intercept floater.

Not without value but position matters

I reckon Simon Goodwin would have a completely different view on Levers positional value to that team.

It’s eased by the fact that when you look at our list you realise there is barely any elite talent especially in midfield

I really don’t care for coming 13th-15th and continuing to have an ordinary list

By the time you're at 13-15th, you're in the hitting range for elite midfielders. That's more a 8-12 complaint where it begins to be questionable, but even then, it's not as bad as it's made out to be. That's more you're in no mans land though.

Nah, I'd rather us finish 15th then 18th this season. We've done our time as a spoon team.

Plenty of superstars taken 2 or 3 up to 10. Few good number 1’s tracking ok - Rowell, Walsh.

If you’re talking deadset stars, most of them haven’t been no 1 or even no 2 picks. The odds are stacked pretty heavily on there being a future star sitting at the Crows early pick, whether it be 2, 3 or 4.

He’ll be there - trick is getting the right one.
