If I was Adelaide I’d look at trading crouch for a high draft pick. I believe we need to get get some x-factor mids
No ones trading a high draft pick for crouch.. hes a free agent.. they can simply take him for nothing if they really want him.

exactly the same as brad last year.

Oh Good. Rebuild finished. Well done everyone.
Let's now ride our team all the way to 7th place in 2025! Brilliant.

OR,

We could add two top end talent mids and actually get ourselves somewhere near the top 4.
That's a sooky post if ever I've read one.

No one said it's finished, but we are most certainly going about it the right way

Agreed, but if I can package up any of:

Laird
M Crouch
T Lynch
Frampton
Himmelberg
J Kelly

with pick 26 to get another pick near the top 10, I'm doing it. I desperately want two classy mids to join the core of Schoenberg, Pedlar, Hately & Keays.
Unfortunately, the clubs who might be interested in a trade like that are very, very limited. Either they have picks too high to consider it, or they have no need for the blokes listed.

Oh, I take it you are really confused about how Gold Coast or Carlton have not been a contender for the last decade? They had so many kids who have had the potential to be high-end midfielders.

Berry with perhaps the exception of Pedlar will be better than the others you've mentioned IMO..

Yeh agree. I forgot about Berry. Could probably also add in McHenry as a pinch hitter as well.
Still need two other high quality mids IMHO if we are going to push for premierships in the future.

That’s a strong proposal

If mchenry gets given the task this week of shutting down walsh, watch his stocks rise if he can shut him down as we all know the vic media's obsession with walsh

For a genuinely rebuilding team ……

I reckon the ideal would be Laird to GCS for Pick 3/4 with whatever balancing of minor picks. Pick 3/4 and our Pick 6/7 for Pick 1 and something in the 20s. Jason Horne is then a Crow but no Mathew Roberts.

Doesn’t really fit with recently giving Laird a 5 year contract though. If not Laird then RO’B. Cannot see anyone else that we’d be willing to lose that has high trade value.

Even so, unless given a big pay rise for moving to GCS then why would anybody want to go?

Their bonus pick 19 for Seedsman is about the most that could be achieved.

I suspect North would have no interest in such a trade. They're not exactly in need of a quantity of kids either.

Really, the ideal offseason seems like one you play with a straight bat right now. Let Matt Crouch take FA, and keep stockpiling kids, with a focus on midfielders. Maybe try to recycle another high end draftee who hasn't kicked on to see if a sea change brings it out of him. Or move some 2nds around to get a mid to late 1st round pick if we're able to.

Anyone seen Trent Tattoli (Central Districts/Trinity) play? Hearing some good things. 2022 draft I think
Someone giving you some solid info. Trent is only an U16 though so he won’t be ready until 2023.

Had a very nice (short) U16 season for centrals racking up some very big games.

This took him up to the start of the school season with Trinity 1sts. Started off with a bang getting best in R1, best players again in R2. Goes a bit quiet then but hit back in a big way last Wednesday at the Parade v a very tough Rostrevor outfit. Probably the upset of the college season with Trinity 3 down at 3/4 time. Came home with a wet sail to knock them off. Your boy 2nd best player.

Building a very nice CV for an U16.

Actually I see Centrals gave him a run in the U18’s in school bye week. 26 touches, 5 clearances and a goal - not too shabby. Be good to see how he goes over the next few weeks with the school footy pause.

The only thing i'd add is that we hold matt if it is for a reasonable contract..we may as well close the doors if we let him walk for another band friggin 3 compo

Finding another team other than the Crows. We have to draft speedy mids until we find enough of them.
No, I think Quality Players will always be in demand by any Club

Patrick Lipinski starred against Geelong’s VFL team with three goals from 36 disposals, while Riley Garcia (35 disposals) and Josh Schache (6.1, 16 disposals, 14 marks) played a huge role in Footscray’s comeback win.

I disagree, right now I'm very comfortable letting Matt walk on a band 3 compensation contract if 4-5 years is on the table (which I hope it is for Matts sake). 1-2, and I'd rather see us keep Matt and move on once that deal expires He's a poor fit for where we're at, seeing we do need to be bringing in kids into our midfield set-up, and both Keays and Laird are both having years that are (at least) matching Matts best on the inside, as well as being consistently better defensively than Matt has ever been at an AFL level (barring that 6 weeks period where he was a monster in 2020, 10+ tackles and 30+ pressure acts in a shortened game is ridiculous and he did it twice... but then again Keays had a 10/40 game this year).

If we're a contender you sign him up, but a rebuilding team with two midfielders locked away already and are producing similar, if not more than Matty, as well as Matts lack of versatility? You part ways. The only reason I'd give him two years is it gives a bit more time for Berry, Pedlar and co. to get fitter and stronger before making that switch into the midfield (assuming Schoenberg displaces Sloane). 4 is just too much and we don't want to be paying another club to take Matt off our hands which is how that genuinely could shake out.

The dream scenario for me is to sign Matt to a 1-year prove it deal, but we're yet to see them in the AFL for an FA player.

It would be great seeing Dudley crumb in our forward lines. We desperately lack a decent small forward.
Him and a good midfielder ( one with skills and can read the play. A lot more important than speed).

That's SANFL level remember that competition. I just think he's not for us. Just my opinion. I'm not saying he's a spud, just don't want him on my team for the cost.
Have you seen Lipinski play a lot Ozzie ?

Trent also played 2 or 3 A grade games for my local side last year and acquitted himself very, very well for a then 14 year old. Got in the best players if i can remember correctly against eventual premiers Mallala

He'd be a better fit for St Kilda or Carlton.

I'd rather us focus on developing Brayden Cook.
