I wouldn't mind the restrictions so much if they were actually designed to work effectively. Last game with the 15k limit was the closest I've sat to a stranger all year.

Why did we get rid of the checkerboard pattern system? You can literally fit 25k in with more social distancing than we have now with 15k. Ideology aside, it just absolutely defies logic.

Stevens does have the final say. But even he will never go against the "health advice" for a football match, an event which large sections of the population see as trivial.
Spurrier is only as powerful as the powers that have been invested in her. Like all things, these decisions should be subject to give and take on both sides until an equitable conclusion is reached, not rule by decree.

So then it isn't Spurrier's fault. It's Stevens'. Spurrier's job is to provide medical/health advice. Stevens' job is to take that advice, show some leadership and make a call. They have disagreed, openly, in the past.

It's ridiculous. We have gone from seating next to people we've known for years to seating next to randos. How is that safer?
