He had better be a bloody exceptional surgeon to be messing with our boy, minor op or not.

It could have been worse. Imagine if he had flown to Sydney behind surgery on his foot.

Sounded like someone was reading a script, but on AA they said the issue was scare tissue from another injury ( ie surgery) was growing next to the ankle joint and causing the pain. They said that scare tissue was removed.

I have had the same thing years ago, albeit I am no athlete. I required surgery less than a year later to remove scar tissue from the previous surgery and a cyst that had developed at the site of the scar tissue. Have had no further issues in almost 28 years!
