But it's apparently 36 for 38 + future 3rd (WBD)? Wasn't pick 38 ours to begin with?

Where is pick 37-40 coming from? Oh it went on the bid where pick 36 would have anyway.

It's a shit useless trade - we needed to target an early future 3rd with pick 36, not a pick in the 50's.

Doggies gazumped us big time on that one.

Not according to Fox.

They listed it as 36 for 48 + Dogs' third, and 48 came in to 45 after our Daicos bid.

Fox also said we matched the Daicos bid using 38, 40, 42 & 44.

So yes, we held 38, and we used it on the Daicos bid. The AFL site probably meant to say 48, not 38. And now it's 45, as per the tab above.
