The US have it in their system - kids will move to go to college in different states so it becomes a bit like a rite of passage. How many kids here will move to another city to go to college/university?

Agree, they know the rules - suck it up is my view then again I moved out of home in my employment at the age of 20 and lived 8 hours from Adelaide. Never went back home after that - loved the independence too much.

International students seem to like Adelaide just fine too and don't need to go home after a year's study (not that that's a current option).

Can't imagine regular kids living in Sydney will ever be moving out of their parents' homes.

$1.2 million dollars for an average house? Nah I'll keep living in the basement thanks.
Alex, thats where most posters are probably residing on Bigfooty. lol. :D

AFL players don't get home sick.

It is just a nicer way of saying they want to leave the club they got drafted to.

In fairness there may be a small percentage that do, but I think with those players, they are not the ones that are commanding the big dollars or have high value, so a trade home is not challenging for all parties concerned.

I do agree, an AFL player has a very special privileged and entitled lifestyle. Its probably hard for most supporters to understand how many advantages they get.

I remember Dangerfield last week was commenting that its hard for players for AFL players to go out. Please cry me a river.

Peter Jess, who has been representing former player Rod Owen in discussions with St Kilda, said there would need to be "some fairly significant change" in the AFL and St Kilda's response to the issue to avoid legal action.

"The only contemporary scenario we have that mirrors this is the child abuse in the Church and in some of the (children's) homes," Jess says.

There’s another, much bigger issue that has been (purposely) overlooked and likely still continues today. And that is pedophilia in the home, where children are sexually assaulted by people they love and trust. It wasn’t addressed by the royal commission, its never been addressed by the media... and everyone points “over there” and sticks their fingers in their ears.

I don't see how it's even similar to church abuse let alone mirrors it. The church knew what was going on so moved the perpetrators to different areas, still undertaking the same or similar roles with the exact same risk. I got bored with the article, so didn't finish it, but there was nothing in there that suggested St Kilda knew what was going on. Until that's alleged and proven, it's apples and oranges.

You must have dozed off during the tiny little thing they called the NT Intervention. Of course the do-gooders on the gravy train ensured that was wound back ASAP so they had unfettered access to the million$ they earn out of abject misery. Not too keen on a spotlight into their efficacy.

They love heritage. Shades of Tylor vs Hodges at SANFL GF after party ... the tradition continues.
👍🏼🤣
I made the mistake of going to a power home Showdown once, and I never will again. It was straight up abuse the whole game, dropping C bombs, threatened to be stabbed if cheered too loud it was an awful experience. There were spot fire fights all over the place completely different vibe to our home games
Daughter was 9
We were losing by shitloads
We finally managed a goal/ she waved her flag only to have a port feral hold a lighter to it saying put it away or he’d set fire to it next time
He poked the bear
He was removed from Footy Park She

Sit back and crack open a chardonnay. Alberton tears are flowing. The May Premiers have folded.

Hahahaha
Ugly
Usually the other way around - like Neale being ruled out the week Brisbane played port or a maybe last year? Dusty was ruled out the week they player port in Adelaide. They are usually on the right end of other teams key outs
We were lucky enough to have Franklin for the first time in a season and a half

about time the footy gods started evening up that ledger!
My favourite part of the whole jumping when he didn't need to was not even keeping his feet when he landed.

He couldn't have ballsed that up anymore if he was Mackay trying to rush a behind from 20 metres out
I love that vision 🤣
Show pony w***er personified.

trying to make the ridiculously easy look spectacularly difficult. He succeeded. w***er!

Good Morning. If you just woken up, pour yourself a hot cuppa, sit back and start reading a good news story to begin your day. :thumbsu:

But isn’t being beaten by top sides and winning against bottom sides the very definition of a flat track bully
They have realised what they are and have to change up the narrative to their minions.

No talk of three Premierships in five years any more.

HTB rule:

Really, is it that hard, do we need more changes to the rule, or do we just need to enforce it properly?

You forgot one part. Under "Does the player dispose of the ball by any means other than handballing or kicking?", and before the "Throw" decision, needs to be "Does the player play for the Western Bulldogs?"

I do believe though if Nicks is not the right guy, our club will move him on.

They moved Pyke on. Yes they had to, but they made the right call.

Pyke is a far better coach than Hinkley.

Nicks won't be a 9 year head coach with only 3 Finals wins.

3 finals wins. Lol

The way people go on about him and the Power you'd think he'd won 3 flags.

It blows my mind that they want to take away prior opportunity, so we just have a bunch of people standing around waiting to pounce on the first person to take possession?

JFC, what a pack of ninnies the media are and quite frankly, Dimma needs to STFU as well, you are not a great coach, you have a great player, a player so good, you can afford to play spuds like Rioli
