How many players have we let go that have gone on to improve elsewhere?

The only ones in recent history that I can think of are Dougal Howard & Will Snelling. Any others?
I'd have thought junior certainly didn't go backwards when moving to hawthorn.

Covid restrictions will be over by next year.... the bed wetters will finally be defeated.
Possibly, but how strict the AFL will be is an unknown. The pressure on a young woman going though her pregnancy, birth, and new infant without family support and her husband absent for periods needs to be considered. Both GWS and Sydney have been very good in facilitating the move, so obviously they were aware the couples were struggling.

Surely you are using ladhams as a tool to get Mitchell to the pafc, you could easily bring in 2 or 3 clubs to make it happen, hawthorn are pretty desperate to get draft picks and will end up doing deals on the cheap

Id take:
Mitchell
Omeara
Chad

In that order.

Our first for Mitchell? I'd do that.

Don't worry, something big is brewing. Big as in what would be brewing in Stuart Dew's gut after a Halopena Pepper, Egg and Vindaloo Curry Supreme Pizza with a cheese filled crust big if Trade Radio are to be believed.

So big as a Dewy’s breakfast you meant.

if it was dinner I’d be excited.

Mitchell = a type we don't need in our midfield

O'Meara = never lived up to it never will

Wingard = as if our stubborn as fck coach would back track

Get on with life.

Irrelevant if O'Meara "never lived up to it" as he was hailed as the second coming as a junior. Would be at worst our third best midfielder by a country mile on current evidence.

WTF is a halopena?

I don't understand this obsession with wanting Tom Mitchell. He is little more than a stat-whoring plodder these days, and would add nothing to our midfield mix.

Because he might be gettable, we have a glaring weakness in the midfield, he would slot straight in, gets shit loads of it, Boak is coming to the end and nobody's offering up any other quality midfielders.

The glaring weakness isn’t plodding accumulator though.

it’s a quick genuine damaging midfielder that we are lacking

which is like the exact opposite of Mitchell.

Holy shit.

melbs future 1st and swapping future 1sts and 2nds is a massive deal. I think crows would be crazy to do that even if dawson is perfect for them.

though I do think it’s very very possible the swans dive back down the ladder without dawson. They also had a decent run with injuries I think

so I don’t think Sydney will be having a late draft pick, still adelaides could be anywhere from 1-8 and Sydney’s anywhere from 4-14.

Well he isn't a stat whoring plodder. He is an absolute A grade midfielder who is a clearance machine. He won a Brownlow in 2018. That is not something a "stat whoring plodder" does.
