Totally irrelevant who he supports. If freo draft him he’ll be fine.Yes I am. I am biased.
But he did only call out Yeo and Oliver. No others. And he did talk about the benefits of playing in WA to be close to friends and family, then went on to say that the benefit of playing at the home of footy would be ok, too.
I am not saying I don't want Freo to select him if he is still there at our pick (doubt it though), but it would have been cool if he said the word Freo or Fyfe.
Likewise If JVR is drafted by the eagles despite being a massive freo fan, I have no doubt he’ll be running around high diving darling and Allen et al for the next few years every time he kicks an eagles goal no problems at all.

I think Joshua Cripps might be a real prospect,199 cm tall (probably still growing),seems like a natural footballer like his brother Patrick.
I would definately look at him with a later pick ,great mark,kicks goals.

For Hase that would be like travelling from Northampton to Geraldton to play a game of junior footy.
I think he's top 40 regardless.

No way Motlop slips beyond 40. FFC would likely have to use a second rounder on him. So, is he a need or a want?

There is no way to mitigate the cost if he goes before pick 40. If another team calls out his name, he is gone.
We definitely need a quality small forward. The question is, does he fit that description.

Unfortunately, it is highly unlikely that we will get Motlop.
My reading of the phantoms is that there will be other players available at our second that I would prefer it be equally happy with (JVR, Williams, Hough, Lohman, Browne, Jackson, Nevitt, Clarke, Warner), so I would risk him getting to 40+.

Yes we will have to pay for him which is fine. Our first pick is 25 if we trade Cez to Carlton. Therefore, we don't want him to go before that pick.

What’s so good about Motlop apart from the fact he’s in our NGA. What’s a good player comp? Is he the best small forward in the draft? I genuinely have no idea.
