Who will you be happy with Hawthorn selecting with their first pick?

National AFL draft Monday November 28(first round only).
All other selections to be held on Tuesday November 29.
The pre-season and rookie drafts will then take place at 3pm (AEST) on Wednesday November 30.

They are mad if they add two midfielders to that group already containing LDU, Simpkin, Thomas, Powell and Phillips. Plus the older guys in Cunnington and Greenwood.

With 2 selections in the top 5 you can afford to pick one based on needs if the talent gap is negligible. From all we've read and heard, Sheezel isn't ranked far behind Tsatas and Wardlaw, if at all.

They struggle to kick a winning score on a weekly basis. A classy half forward capable of booting 4 goals a week at will is a perfect addition to their list. Cadman is the best option for them though IMO. I'm surprised they want to trade away a selection to another side who might draft him first.

I don't know why you'd count Cunnington or Greenwood, they're both about done.

They have Simpkin and LDU as hard running mids, and Wardlaw and Tsatas have the scope to be better than both. Phillips and Powell will be just nice players in comparison.

Today's AFL is all about midfield dominance and speed. There's absolutely no doubt in my mind that if North hold 2 and 3 on draft night that they take Wardlaw and Tsatas.

Will be interested to see how this one plays out then. If that trade goes down as proposed I suspect one of us will be correct.

Saw something on bf the other day about phillipous athletic traits, although he looks a little slow in the footage apparently he’s a sub 3 second 20 metre sprint and close to 6 mins flat in the 3k which makes him elite in speed and endurance. Usually the guys that are quick in the 20m also have a decent spring on them, and with him being 190cm and a December birthday it’s an extremely tantalizing proposition

Reckon it's a 6 minute 2km you're thinking of, not 3km.
