if we give up 2 picks in the 30s doesn’t that leave us short with list spots? Who would be the player at pick 13? Could it be Jefferson if looking for KF

If we did a trade like that (which is still unlikely) we must believe someone we rate could slide to 13.

My guess is that we think Mackenzie could be very gettable at 13.

Dons - tsatas
Gcs - Humphrey
Melbourne - poo
Geelong - Allan
West coast - ginbey
Saints- Clark
Carlton - Hollands
WB - busslinger
West coast - Jefferson

Hawks..... Mackenzie and a F1

Remember Ben Hobbs sliding to 13 last year!

My preference is definitely to keep the pick and use it on best talent available...

But I'm not mad if it manages to stay a top 15 pick but acquires us an F1 via trading it down. You never know who will have a random bad year with luck/injuries and finish lower than expected.

I agree, I would only jump at the 1st offer and even there would prefer not adding the F2(WB) in.

At pick 13 - we can have Jefferson, Allan, Hewitt & maybe even Tsatas available if he indeed slid big time.
anyone know if hewitt would be a flight risk? Would be a good pickup if we drop and cant get mackenzie seems solid.

If we are doing this then maybe we are eyeing Brayden George.

Spoiler alert

Reluctantly I borrowed my mates ‘Tardis’ , I say reluctanty because we all the like the element of suspense/drama.

But for those that cannot wait til Monday, I can share the Top 10 only
1. Ashcroft (shock horror - bid was made and matched)
2. Cadman (Giants couldn’t type his name in quick enough
3. Wardlaw (North spent the last few weeks scouring Bigfooty to make such selection)
4. Sheezel (sloppy seconds in Norf double)
5. Tsatas (scum conflicted but went homegrown talent)
6. Ginbey (Suns pounced)
7. Feel A Poo (Hawks went best available)
8. Clark ( Cats got their man)
9. MacKenzie (Saints committed to their man - despite B.Bear available)
10. Hollands (blues pounced on midfielder)

Refuse to share more. But we get some gems as we go along.
What happened to the eagles pick 8?

If this happens we must have some insight that one of McKenzie or clark get to that pick which is a possibility.

Geelong - Allan
Eagles - ginbey
Saints - McKenzie
Carlton- hollands
Bulldogs - buslinger/weddle
Eagles - jefferson

Essentially getting the player we were happy to take at 6 + adding a future 1st is a big win.
who knows? I think splitting of picks, getting 2 lower picks compared to one higher one is thinking you can win a premiership with those 2 B+ players than perhaps one A player. getting to premiership level is long way ahead.

to be realistic from Cal's Nov listing you give up someone like McKenzie but get someone like Allan/busslinger. reflecting back at last year, are we happy with Ward or do you think we should have split into 2? it would be a dream to have gotten say a player you wanted at 7 and still available at 13 but not necessarily.

do we know how good Allan is or can be? ben allen was probably close to our best midfielder before he left. busslinger could also team up with our current other backman, we do need a May type of backman, not sure whether he is.

Cam MacKenzie.

Dons : The Pou
Suns : Hump
Haw : Mackensie
Cats : Tsatas
WCE : Ginbey
StKs : Clark
Lions: Fletcher
Carl : Hollands
Dogs: Busslinger
WCE: Allan
Dees: Jefferson
Syd : Weddle
GWS: George

Interesting is if Pick 7 is Tsatas( hawks or Dees)
then how would rest go.

Cats with pick 8 will be ??? Allan or Clark instead of Tsatas
If it is Allan,
then who does Saints pick? Mackensie or clark

Then who does WCE pick Mackensie or Clark or Jefferson
