I don't think Kreuger is a walk up start for round 1, as if you read the McRae interview, sounds like he has some things to learn in terms of forward craft. He'll get opportunities but I'm unsure if its in round 1. Especially its been years since he has played forward.

Took some nice marks today though.

These people need to watch a training session lol

COLLINGWOOD

HF: Oliver Henry, Brody Mihocek, Steele Sidebottom

F: Jamie Elliott, Darcy Cameron, Will Hoskin-Elliott

FOLL: Brodie Grundy, Scott Pendlebury, Taylor Adams

WE SAY: The Magpies blooded a league-best nine debutants in 2021. As a result, Craig McRae’s team actually has solid depth going into next season, particularly when adding trade period recruits Patrick Lipinski and Nathan Kreuger into the mix. The Magpies’ best 18 or so is reasonably settled but beyond that there’s a mix of several more youngsters not listed who could also push into the selection frame including Trey Ruscoe, Finlay Macrae, Jack Ginnivan, Nathan Murphy, Tyler Brown, Caleb Poulter and Reef McInnes. Will Hoskin-Elliott could make way for a youngster. The Pies will surely look to start developing more key position players too which will open up opportunities for the likes of Kreuger and Will Kelly. Scott Pendlebury will likely transition out of the midfield. Let’s not forget Nick Daicos of course, who is a walk-up starter into this side the way Sam Walsh has been for Carlton and Bailey Smith has been for the Western Bulldogs. Jordan De Goey has returned to club training and looks set to play in Round 1 all things being equal.

wheres mccreery lol

I think McInnes may be seriously pushing best 22 based on the showing at the intra today
Did you think he was impressive today? Its hard to keep track of everyone, so I kinda forgot about him and macrae lol Didn't help they were on the weaker side.

Agee, it is very difficult! Also it’s tough to see who’s who at ground level (I was on the wing).

He laid a couple of very big tackles that I saw, and did some great work inside and breaking away from packs. I recall one play in particular, in the S/W pocket where he put in 3 or 4 repeat efforts, diving on the ball like a madman and then evading a tackle or two, incl a shot on goal (that fell short). Really wanted the ball and used his size. The way he can use that size (194cm mid - yes please!) and his speed over 20m to break away from contests, I think he has a number of attributes that we desperately need. Very pleasing. He just needs to polish up his skills and then get enough of it.

IMO he showed more than Macrae based on yesterday at least.

And overlooked the one forward playing for the probables yesterday, Ginnivan.

I don't think he fits into our game-plan.

I think Fly will rather Beau as a fast pressure fwd in the mould of Castagna/Butler etc that Richmond used in 2017-2020

We will see in a month or so won't we?
Yeah we'll see, but from every match play I've seen, he has been in the Team A.
They could have easily swapped Beau and Ginnivan yesterday if that's the case.. so just gives me a feeling they see Ginnivan as definitely playing.
They even preferred Bianco over Beau for the 1sts yesterday

I'm a fan of Gini so good to see him having a great pre-season.
Was in my team in this thread last year. Fingers crossed he can step up and become a regular in the 22.

Has had a great pre-season and looks to have put on some muscle too.

I'm hoping we go with Ginnivan and Mcreery to begin with. I wouldn't go with both Ginnivan and Bianco though - just to do with pace.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised to see Bianco miss out. It sucks seeing someone miss out, but can't play them all.

He was one of the few who changed jumpers in the 2nd quarter. Ginnivan wasn't one of them.

Really liked what I saw from Ginnivan in the seniors late last year. Very confident he has a higher ceiling than McCreery
Givivan is a better natural footballer. McCreery is more the athletic type. Both can play a role. Ginivan will be that kick it from 50+ from anywhere type. Best kick on goal type. McCreery can play that lock down defensive player, steal a few goals type.

This was harder than I thought…
But here we go… with 1 eye on future so getting games into our next premiership team…

B: Ruscoe Howe Maynard

HB: Quaynor Moore Crisp

C: Josh.D Adams Nick.D

HF: Reef Mihochek Beau

F: Cameron Elliott Sidey

Foll: Grundy Lipinski DeGoey

Inter: Pendlebury WHE McCrae W.Kelly/Krueger

Unlucky but not Far away…
Poulter, Henry, Ginnivan, Bianco.
Experienced depth…
Roughead, Cox
Depth….
C.Brown, T.Brown, J.Noble, J.Madgen.

Would like to see…. Chugg come in a free up Maynard for more Midfield minutes. Ash Johnson to see what he can do.
Pressure on Sidey and WHE to perform this year and keep there place. Predicting Finals and beating some of the better teams.. maybe 1 win in September but I am an optimist and consistency may be a problem and of course injuries.

wow.. You must be one of the very few that does not have Ollie starting.

But yes, its hard to name a side isn't it? lol I have to adjust mine once a month because things change, and you want to play everyone but thats impossible.
