First Pick = Weddle or Allan
Second Pick = Barnett or Hustwaite
Third Pick = Keeler or Lemney
Very much reliant upon who slides. The boys will have their rated order and shall tick them off, when selected.

1st Hollands, Hayes, Allan, Weddle

2nd Hotton, Konstanty, George, Cowan

3rd Konstanty, George, Barnett, Cowan, Gruzewski, Hustwaite, Keeler, Burgeil

4th Doubtful much left. However be very fortunate to get; Burgeil, Sztbkowski, Keeler, Magor, Van Es, Lemmey, Verrall or Richards.

I read somewhere Nicky D wants Tsatas at the Pies. Can't remember where. Ex teammate perhaps or close friends. Nick rating him is enough for me.
Hopefully he wants to come in 2 years. Prefer wardlaw though… at this stage.
I’d also assume that the club doesn’t care about the mates factor. Otherwise Ben Crocker would still be on the list…..

Ok… if we end up with Hollands, Cowan and George, I will personally deliver Derek a bottle of grange as an early Christmas present

I think the mates factor comes into it if you are rebuilding or have issues with retention.

Rumors flying around everywhere, there is even talk of our future first being up for grabs, can we do that

Not without somehow trading in a future second and third.

Issue is they don't know if they are better players for years in some cases or they get it wrong and ya left with list full of flankers and most teams have heaps good enough to do the job needed.
I am a proponent of best available, if it’s borderline or speculative as it tends to be in the back end of the draft then you can draft according to need.

There is never an excess of quality players, no matter the position. They can always be traded if required.

But clubs are locking young guns away.

Over the next three years - we need a quality tall defender, plus replace Howe. Also a quality tall forward, and replace Mihocek and Elliott.

This year and next we have 4 sub 30 draft picks.
As we’ve seen contracts don’t mean anything. You can always trade if you’re willing to pay.

I will be concerned if we do that. We are nowhere close to top4 quality again. That is a gamble that I would not be willing to make, unless we are certain Cadmen is bone fide pro.

We’ve strengthened our list which made top 4, but are no where near top 4 quality again.

Ok 🙄

Would need to get a bakers delight sponsorship then. Big boys. Keeler I find so perplexing. His desire and lack of consistency doesn’t sound good for AFL… giving me Chris Egan vibes. And if he’s as good as some think, at his size he should’ve absolutely dominated U18 level. But didn’t…
Why are so many people on this site so negative about Keeler. He is only 18 & very few key forwards are at their peak at 18. Moreover "work ethic" as a concept is not set in stone in relation to a player'sdevelopment & chronology. I am sure that a lot of people would have questioned Dane Swan's work ethic in his first few years at the club. Moreover he has admitted that himself in various forums since his retirement. I think that when exposed to a particular coach - or set of coaches - and combined with a club culture as evidenced by a number of exemplary individual players (or groups of such players), then a recruit's work ethic can change over time. I see Keeler's positives as far outweighing his supposed negatives. I think it is much easier to correct a faulty work ethic than a faulty kicking style, for example.

My Wang spy reports: “Such a terrific kid and can play! Perfect ingredients for any club! Humble kid from a humble family. He's a role model for so many in this town, especially the youth.”
I didn't know we had spies here.
I need to more careful of what I say.

It’s come from multiple places, not just this board.
& If he comes to us I hope it’s all hot air. Think we’ll find out draft night though, as 16 or so clubs should have a much better idea than us

Hey Jen, is it fair to say that Lippa is your fave trainer?? Get a mention in even your Tsatas clips!!😁😁

p.s may see you there in a couple of weeks time…
Even Lippa is Tsatas's fav too. Mentioned him in an interview that he took him under his wing at training and kept him contact on insta.

And then chose Freeman as another Top 10 selection in that 2013 National Draft.
Freeman is one of those, what if situations. We'll never know how good he could have been without those injuries.

That would be with draft picks. We need ours to replace Pendlebury, Howe, Sidebottom etc etc. Paying for contracted non-FA players will have to wait a bit, after we develop the young fellows and see what position we find ourselves in.
