Because we have traded our f2-f4 our fr1 is locked.

why not? Still better than 1 pick; particularly if they don't intend to choose Clark.
They may find another Mitchell Lewis at 58. Or package it up with a number of other picks.

They dont even have enough list spots for another pick unless they do live trades.

Dont think eagles traded down just to grab WA talent that can never be predicted at trade time

Think they more so were interested in getting 2 talents rather than 1 with where their list is at. Obviousily helps having local talent around that range as any club prefers local talent when they cant split players

We also traded down to get two picks for the price of one, as we judged the talent of a lot of the highly rated draftees to be similar.

The Gold Coast recruiting team travelled to Dunsborough to visit the Ginbeys. That’s 11 hours flying plus 6 hours driving (Dunsborough’s 3 hours from Perth). Add to that the time waiting for flights and you get close to a day. It seems pretty clear to me that Ginbey’s off to Gold Coast.

A minor point, but can't you fly direct to/from Margs or Busselton these days?

How do Brisbane Match both Ashcroft and Fletcher if they go pick 1 and 11 like some phantoms are suggesting? they dont have enough points atm to cover pick 1 with 20% discount. DO they just go into defeicit and lose picks till they cover the points which would be the future 2nd they have and prob all 3 future 4rds?
