Yeah if anything I can see them trying to move up to pick one and her will have the picks to do it.Nothing. They will have so many first rounders, there will be no incentive for them to move back in the draft.
If anything, they are more likely to try and move up to get the player they want. And a key forward - which they desperately need - from a country area instead of metro Melbourne should be too enticing for them. There is always enough good mids to use their teens picks to get them.
What could we give up to get the #3 pick from the plastics?
Pick 9 and Gresham
I suppose this is the main issue with being in no man's land... can't access the top end talent. The plastics will take him, he'll play there for 4 or 5 seasons then come home & go to Richmond, Geelong or Collingwood.Nothing. The top end of this draft is so even that picking at 9 won't make that big of a difference in terms of who we get.I suppose this is the main issue with being in no man's land... can't access the top end talent. Reckon Hustwaites old man played under 19 and reserves for us .Hustwaite is 194cm, the same height as Cadman and is being looked at so highly for his midfield ability not his KPP ability. Notwithstanding he will have the height to play pretty much any position in the future. (taller then Battle and Wood)
If you cannot see the merit in his height making him a very unique option, then so be it.
194cm-84kg is Hustwaite, whose had a huge growth spurt, similar to Owens. Midfielder first, who at that size, could become a KPP.Essendon will pick Sheezel or Cadman if neither are taken by North. With a top 5 pick, you take talent over needs. Hustwaite is a bad option to pick if you want a KPP, would rather reach on Hayes than waste a midfielder as a 192cm back.
Wouldnt be happy if we took him with our first. Good player but st kilda draft to many player thinking they can be something else. This year we just need to take a genuine mid or key position194cm-84kg is Hustwaite, whose had a huge growth spurt, similar to Owens. Midfielder first, who at that size, could become a KPP.
I wouldn't be disappointed if we went Bailey Humphrey or Cam McKenzie, thats for sure.Wouldnt be happy if we took him with our first. Good player but st kilda draft to many player thinking they can be something else. This year we just need to take a genuine mid or key position

I'm not overly keen on Hustwaite either.
I think there are better midfield options and better KPP options, depending on what position you think he might end up playing.
Haha, what a strange replyLuckily your opinion means nothing!
Membrey and our firstWhat could we give up to get the #3 pick from the plastics?
Haha, what a strange reply
That's fair. Not really. I will take the word of Cal Twomey and the men who run draft central over yours, no offence.
Ashcroft and Clark will not make it to our pick. Hustwaite is named next best in Victoria according to the people who watch it. All say Pendles and possible star factor. Phillipou will head to Port. Hewett perhaps if we want to bank on a West Australian over a Victorian in a close battle. Saints may just do that knowing us!
Anyway i know you love to argue. Please come at me chief.
That's fair.
But neither of them have him ranked near our pick?
Both have him back at around 15.
Behind McKenzie, Humphy B Bear and Jefferson (and that's just the Vic kids)
It's not that I love to argue, it's just that you are wrong again...
Why would you respond to someone like that. TossaJefferson is a key forward
McKenzie didn't make the TOTY of 24 players after being named in the squad of 48. What does that tell you champ?
Humphrey the much touted midfielder named at half forward while the defender was named in the middle. Whatever could be their reasoning?
Wrong is your middle name buddy
Werent you basing your opinion on Twomeys and DC's ranking?Jefferson is a key forward

Now he's a better prospect because he made the team of the year, despite being ranked well below those players by the people you based your opinion on...
As for Jefferson, as I said in my original post... there are better midfield and key position options (depending on where you think he'll play his footy)
I've got no issue with your opinion on who you think is a better option, not sure why you got so wound up on me giving my opinion...?
An opinion shared by Cal Twomey and your friends at draft central... champ
Again?Yes you are absolutely right.
I got his size wrong, but my point is that you don't take a midfielder and then play him as a Key Back. It's poor drafting if that happens, I can only think of maybe Nathan Murphy who has made that transition and he was more of a utility than a mid.194cm-84kg is Hustwaite, whose had a huge growth spurt, similar to Owens.
