I agree with you that St Kilda is a hopeless club, and I do not envy their supporters one bit. We have it sooooooo good compared to them! However, I really don't like people saying another team should not be in the competition. They are an older club than we are - they celebrate their sesquicentennerary this year. We were a basket case for the longest time. We were on our knees 30 years ago. There were clubs that wanted us out of the competition then (I'm looking at you Carlton) - and I do not forgive them. I admire the devotion and loyalty Saints fans have for their club. And I pity them. But I don't want their club out of the competition. I hope you just got carried away and don't really mean that you would like to see them out of the AFL.

Only thing I would say is, we as a club had to make hard decisions to survive. Clubs like St Kilda continuously refuse to make hard decisions and are permanently attached to the teat of the AFL as a result. I have little sympathy for those that refuse to help themselves.

Japanese high school kids play rugby on gravel. This isn't an issue.

We used to play on cricket pitches, ruined by studs and then hardened like concrete. The MCG should be perfect for Collingwood. And they get the best seats to enjoy the view.

I think he'll take a while, but will be good. Part of me hopes that we just bid on him because it was the Crows though.

I just need a pantomime villain to hate. The playing ranks have become a bit sterile these days - so finding the villain isn't as easy as it used to be.
