I think the club would happily let him walk. Maybe less so now it looks like JDG is off the table. I think they were hoping to get his wage off the books and put it into Jordy.

If he stays I hope Lenny can talk Ratts into putting him back on to a wing. It's like having race horse pull a brick cart at the moment. It's not doing him or us any good. Billings is another that needs a run with injury luck and position. If Lenny could move those guys into a spot where they can use the run and ball use it could only improve us. Unfortunately it needs a full rethink on how the midfield sets up and moves the ball.

Maybe JB off a HBF, Clark high HF, Hill true wing with Wood on the opposite HHF/wing and DMac a defensive mobile wing runner or Nas if he stays.
Lenny made a point in one of the Saints website vids that he's particularly looking forward to working with Billings. He must see something that I don't, but if he can get him going to a level befitting his natural ability it'll be a definite win. To me he looks shot, and it'll be a huge task to pull him out of that kind of headspace and comfort zone...but stranger things have happened 🤷🏼‍♂️

At least bring him to ground partially or have an arm pinned, man was still walking around with both arms free
Think it’s a time thing

  • 18.6.4 Holding the ball: No Genuine Attempt– Where a Player in Possession of the Football has not had Prior Opportunity, a field Umpire shall award a Free Kick if the Player is able to, but does not make a genuine attempt to Correctly Dispose of the football within a reasonable time when Legally Tackled.

Sergeant Shultz is the only Freo forward looking dangerous.

Wish we get things together to play as exciting as Collingwood. Past decade has been pretty tepid

I miss the old Grant Thomas era from around 2004-06, we didn't win a flag in that era but we played some exciting footy and kicked some big scores.

Our forward line was fun to watch back then, now our forward line is like torture to watch with how we butcher forward entries and shots for goal.

Haven’t watched a second but acres with a few touches. How’s he looking?
Haven’t watched it either but he’s leading both disposals (17) and ranking points for the game at half time, and that’s despite going off injured and them saying he was not looking good and that he was basically playing on one leg once he came back on.

If Carlton get him for under $400K PA as reported they’re getting a bargain.

Ginni’s a good player, but I think he benefits a lot from the way Collingwood play, and their supporters. Just a really good fit for the team, seems to bring the best out of him.

Not a fan of him off field, but that’s footy players for you.

DeGoey the same, great player in Collingwood system, red flag off fields Almost intrigued to see how he’d go in our side if by some miracle we landed him, we need a player that is able to lift others, and is not reliant on others to lift them.

Not sure if DeGoey is that or not, but would love a leader like that in the middle, along with Steele (and just quietly Windy as well).

On ginnivan. Ignore the ducks the link up and crumbing small forward is what I think Higgins can be after he banishes his mental demons
