Yeah I get that. I just don't see him moving unless Wright/Fly tap him on the shoulder. In the still unlikely event that we win the flag this year, 'd suspect he'd want to stay

According to a recent article, there'll be an offer on the table for De Goey at 800K for 2 season

De Goey being re-signed
Bobby Hill coming in
McStay coming in
Elliott re-signed

Kinda sounds to me like Grundy might be going. Not sure how we get all that done with the anchor that is Grundy's contract over our head

Will Hoskin-Elliott was subbed out of Friday night's win over Melbourne after impact caused a corked back.

The impact occurred in the second term and following treatment he was able to return to the field. He continued to experience symptoms in his hip flexor and was subbed out during the third quarter.

He is expected to complete straight line running work on Wednesday and will be assessed at the backend of the week.

As reported on Monday, Brodie Grundy will miss the remainder of the 2022 season due to a stress fracture in his ankle.

He will undergo arthroscopic surgery and is expected to make a full recovery in time for pre-season.

Taylor Adams (adductor) has started a running program and he is progressing as expected.

He will be assessed after round 23.

Nathan Kreuger (shoulder) is now completing a full strength program in the gym and is likely to progress to full training in the next couple of weeks.

Tom Wilson (back) integrated some skills work this week, building up his volumes.

Reef McInnes (shoulder) completed a fitness test last week and he achieved the same results he recorded at the end of the summer - a positive outcome.

He will begin non-contact training drills over the next few weeks.

In more good news, Charlie Dean (foot) has been cleared to start swimming work.

Jack Ginnivan was subbed out during the second term of Sunday's clash with Sydney with a suspected hamstring injury.

Fortunately, scans have cleared him of any structural damage and he could return as soon as our final round match against Carlton, pending assessment.

He trained at around 80 - 85 per cent on Wednesday and will be assessed on Friday.

Jordan De Goey (hip flexor) was a late withdrawal in round 22 and will be given as much time as possible to play this weekend.

He completed a running session on Tuesday and his straight line running looks good - he will be assessed later this week and there is some level of confidence he will be available for selection.

Among the rehab group, Taylor Adams (adductor) is straight-line running at 80 - 85 percent and is integrating into low level skills training.

He is still expected to be available for our first final.

Nathan Kreuger (shoulder) started contact work with Neville Jetta on Wednesday and completed tackling drills.

Now in week 15 of a 16-week recovery he is being exposed to match play and will be available in the first or second week of finals.

Tyler Brown has a fatigue related illness and has started a running program as one of his small steps on his path to returning.

He will hopefully be into game time in two-three weeks.

The severity of Harvey Harrison's second hamstring injury was the same as the first and unfortunately a recurrence of the same injury means he will require more recovery time.

He is progressing through his rehab.

Brodie Grundy's ankle surgery was successful and he's in the early phase of his recovery.

Tom Wilson is completing no-contact training drills and his level of impact will increase over time.

He will return to full training by week one of pre-season.

Reef McInnes has completed a massive seven week block of training and running.

He's building his athleticism and has progressed in leaps and bounds

Charlie Dean is now able to take the moon boot off and is back on the bike.

His program will be increased in two-three weeks.

Ok?

I didn’t say or even suggest it would happen.

I’m just saying I could see a scenario where he goes if he misses a flag.
I can see so many scenario it would blur your vision, but I have not posted any of them.
Well not many anyway.

The devil is in the detail.

I’ve underlined the words written about BG.
Compare it to the others with regard to detail and level of compassion.

What's the go with the inactive list? I had the feeling you could shuffle it around (e.g. add Grundy and take off Kreuger) but read plenty of posts suggesting Kreuger wouldn't be allowed to play again in 2022

In short, yes he can play.

I had it explained to me as follows - There is a provision that allows if a “season ending” injury heals earlier the player can be reactivated as long there is another player who has subsequently been made inactive /has seasons ending injury.

Which makes total sense.
Shouldn’t be about an individual player.
As long as there is continuity with an inactive or LTI player to justify the additional list spot that was created…then all requirements are met.
Would be ridiculous to tie that list place opening to a particular player.

Anyone know how Adams is tracking? Is he still likely to be playing in week one of the finals?

Reporting on Adams various day to day media to media - looked good in yesterday’s clip of him training and with 10 days I’d be staggered he doesn’t play. Think a bit of smoke behind the mirror stuff going on :)

If you look at the injury report for the 8 teams just about all but the Pies have a full list to choose from.
