Last dozen games. He’s been backed in but has been bottom 6 more than any player this year. Is a long term development player but it showed up tonight that he is currently not up to it atm

Which is fair. Only 19/20. Backing him in for the long run.
Was a flat night all round. Chapman, Young weren’t up to their usual selves

I am not worried about losing Griffin Logue, in fact I'm starting to look forward to it

Edit: Immediately kicks a goal, lmao
Just want to understand what Logue can be.
Don’t think he’s a footballer. Well he’s not a smart one at that. His decision making is iffy and often takes too long. He wants to be a one on one defender but even those have to have marking, skill and speed, which Logue may have one of.

Why does anyone want this campaigner to be their manager?

No one leaks as much bullshit throughout the year as Colin Young... like why would you want that if you're a player?

Also, I highly doubt this dude gets more money for his players then the average player manager does.

Unfortunately I'd say it works at least some of the time.

Logue is getting a minimum of $500k a year for the next 4-5 years regardless of where he ends up. He doesn't necessarily get that with someone who negotiates in good faith like Dover.

I'd imagine Col's been pushing hard for North and that extra payday despite Griff clearly being pretty happy at Freo.

Funny how Young are driving up prices for sub 25 players that wouldn’t really change other clubs.
Bell will just remain steadfast and if not just get picks due to them being contracted.

Tbh though that’s kind of Colin Young’s job isn’t it? He seems to be getting some reasonably average players some very good money imo.

Having said that with players like Liam Henry and Rory Lobb (and Lloyd Meek) Peter Bell and David Walls are within their rights to keep contracted players.

After their finals performances my feelings towards Logue and Acres have changed. I'm comfortable losing Logue, but Acres played his heart out and was so influential in both finals. We need to re-sign him.

Can’t believe I’m saying this but I agree.

1) Remove offer to Logue. Ask serious questions about Tarryn Thomas. Let Logue go.
2) Bundle Darcy Tucker in deal to north if needed.
3) Pay Acres.
4) Demand top price for Lobb otherwise keep.
5) Bring in Jackson.

Get the front half sorted with Amiss, Taberner, Walters, Schultz, Switta, Frederick, Treacy, Sturt finding a way to gel.

Get games into Erasmus, Johnson, Henry, Sturt, Amiss, Treacy.

Be competitive 2023.

Genuine window opens 2025-2030

Jesus, I don't want to have to wait another two years! It's been 28 years already!

Honestly take Fyfe, Walters and Taberner out of the 2025 side with this current group and it’s still bloody young for a team that we hope will be challenging for success.

What I’m saying is we’ve done well to get to where we got to this year. Our younger players are coming but have still got long careers ahead of them in order to achieve the ultimate success.

It’d be a sh**e thing to do but Sturt and Treacy should not play for Peel tomorrow. Give them big pre seasons and see what they can do in 2023.

Also I don’t care that Amiss needs a lot of time in the gym. He should never play for Peel again unless it’s the first few weeks after an injury.

Getting games into the talented forwards we have and a better attitude to ball movement is the main thing that will improve our forward line. Of course I’m not against adding more talented players but I feel there’s potential on our current list outside the best 22 that can improve us if managed correctly.

Young escalating the game. Obviously a fair bit of argy-bargy going on behind the scenes.
Reckon that's overplaying his hand personally.

What happened I didn't notice this

What do you mean by escalating and are you referring to Hayden Young

Cant wait to see Fyfe with a un-interrupted pre season under his belt

Optimistically I’m looking forward to it as well and believe he’s still got a big role to play.

Pessimistically, I’m wondering if his body is past it and should have considered bowing out with Mundy.

Either way, deserves to decide on his terms.

You know who looked like a potato?

Sean Darcy.

Free kick giving, non marking potato.
Rather tired of him in his current form tbh
