"Few good games" = an AA squad year and two time leading goal kicker.
Squad of 40 in the covid year and our leading goal kicker isn't saying much for how diabolical our forward line was post 2015. People forgetting 2013-2018 Taberber and only remember 19-21 where he was decent and he was pretty poor this year baring a handful of games.

Of course people are only going to remember 19-21?? Why focus on his first five years which were awful when his past three years he's been very good for us. Even this year he was still going at 2.5 goals per game from his first 10 or so games. Before the injury ****ed him.

Sorry but that's such a pathetic post

You're massively downplaying Tabs AA squad season. Look at all the gun forwards in the comp. Look at the forwards that made the team and the teams they play for.

We were s**t and he still made the squad, that's extremely impressive.

What would our return be for Lobb, Logue and Acres if they all go? Lobb is still contracted and Vic clubs are prepared to throw money at Logue and Acres.

Acres. Pick 25
Logue. Pick 19 at the moment. Hopefully something more.
Lobb. Swap firsts and a 2nd rounder.

I think Jackson will take all picks we get from all 3.
Don't think that is a win.

If so, surely it would have to be a forward or winger, but who is realistically available that improves us?

De Goey. That's all I can think of but it's probably not realistic in that he won't want to leave Melb and we're probably worried about his off field behaviour.

We've been pushing anyone out that's not a "good bloke" since JL got here. As good as he is, no chance we go back on that now.
What about that Henry kid that tore us a new one the last time we met the Pies? He seems to have fallen out of their best 22.
Sounds like the kid who is no chance to move interstate. Apparently asking for big coin as well.

This has been done to death, but he is going to Geelong. Lifelong fan who grew up across the road from the ground and his brother plays there. The Pies know it and have probably put a line through him.

I've got it. Hunter Clark. Permanently injured but could see him being a quality winger.

:padlock:

I'd be very surprised if we don't add mature aged support but ultimately we're going to have to rely on Tabs, Fyfe, Treacy and Sturt in addition to those that played last night.

I like him but I'd prefer to back in the young wingers already on the list with the addition of perhaps a defender moving to the position.
I was mostly joking given his injury history and Victorianess. That said, he is quality when fully fit.

I was just trying to think of an attainable player that could make us better.

Tarryn Thomas. Get him through Logue deal.
Both top 10 picks.
Thomas comes with serious question marks and could 100% be a failed recruit BUT his talent is undeniable and I watched him lots last year and he is an absolute gun.
Could play wing or half forward.

For me he is the best talent that could help us. He is contracted for 2 more years but reports are he wants out of north.

I’m massively into this kid.

The problem is we have a side of good blokes and no mongrels. Who was testing Degoeys shoulder last night, who gets stuck into the yank or Elliot? Too soft. Collingwood have Degoey, Maynard, Crisp, Elliot that will all crack in
