How will north pay for him??
There might not be a priority pick so they would have to split pick 1?
They are getting a priority pick, I wouldnt be surprised if the AFL has told them they can get one if they can convince a mature player. The better the pick they get given, the better it is for us

I can’t believe I’m doing this but it’s bugging me no one has said this.
Buddy has been quoted at different times as saying one of the big attractions for living in Sydney is it’s a really big place with not that many people interested in AFL so he’s reasonably anonymous relative to his standing in the game. Apparently he loves to go wash his car & have a coffee & wander around Bondi which he can do mostly unnoticed.
Can you imagine him trying to go out for a quiet coffee in Perth/Fremantle?
Apart from the very many reasons it makes no sense whatsoever to recruit him he simply wouldn’t move to Perth.
The only other place he’d consider would be Brisbane/GC. For the same reasons.
That point doesn't stand up when his wife/manager has publicly stated the couples desire to be closer to either of their children's grand parents, of which WA is one of those states.

If Buddy is happy to move to WA to be close to his folks, I'd assume he'd be fairly comfortable playing footy here.

Recruiting a 50 goal forward at 0 trade cost makes enough sense, especially given the state of our forward line.

Acres, Lobb and Griff are currently all best 22... We better get back something bloody decent in return, thanks very much.

Tucker out... eh. Not a huge loss IMO - It may give Crowden his chance.

Who else are we supposedly definitely going to lose? (Not buying the Liam speculation myself... He"s still too green to get a decent offer).

At least Cerra was nice enough to have one foot out the door the moment he got here so I never felt any attachment to him.

Griff starting a podcast, becoming really likeable, and acting like he was so invested in the club, and then requesting a trade is so deflating.
It’s fine.

Logue & Tucker for pick 19 (Amiss plays 22 games).

Pick 13 + 19 for Jackson (to the wing).

Acres - pick 28

Hold onto Lobb unless we get a huge offer like their first. Pick best KPF.

If we miss Jackson we load up with Pick 11,13,19,28 in the draft. Developing kids is our strength lately, we can fall back to it if we have to.
